    Hey everyone.
I don't have issues with Powermizer downclocking my 9600m GT GDDR3 in my Acer 5930.
Temps are fine and to my liking (even though of course it would be nice to further achieve lower ones).

However, when watching movies for example through VLC, my gpu speed goes up to max.
True, the temps aren't as high like when gaming, but I was still wondering if it would be possible to keep the gpu speeds on idle levels for watching movies in VLC?
Such a task doesn't need the full gpu power after all.

If your using Vista, try putting your computer into powers saver mode.
