Hey Everyone,
I just got done drooling over the new killzone 2 gameplay videos that were released recently. I was wondering if killzone 2 will be released on the PC ( sort of like the Halo games, or gears 1.) I'm not a big console gamer.. and i'm not willing to put down $400 just to play one game... I guess if worse comes to worse i'll have to borrow a Ps3 from one of my friends.

Sad how much PC gaming has faltered compared to consoles. There just aren't any fun games coming out for the PC anymore, minus Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2.

You can wait 20 years until a PS3 emulator for the PS3 is released which will run on your high end 500 cores PC.
MGS4 is a great game, but only for those who played the previous titles. Not only because of the story, but because it does not force you to be fun. You can just run through the game in an hour, not caring if you are detected and shoot everybody and it will be hundred times easier than sneaking, which is kinda hard for beginners, because of lack of an tutorial. -

There are so many good games in PC, I wouldn't change it for anything. Some games, yes, there are console exclusive but the ones that are not, the PC version is the best one. Especially when I found out recently that game resolution in consoles (the last games with very good graphics and graphical effects) is not HD (720p or 1080p) but lower and then the consoles are software upgrading the resolution to HD to fit the TV resolution. After all we have World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, Guild Wars, Civilization 4, Diablo 3, Crysis, Sims, Sins of a Solar Empire, Total War....the list is endless.....

There's so much good for PC, even if it isn't the flashiest graphics...
-
yea pretty much not going to be released on pc. all of sony's first party games stay on consoles. sorry buddy
-
They don't make PC games outside of their online counterpart (the dev's of Everquest, etc...that are currently busy developing The Agency for the PS3). Game development has shifted to consoles, and any first-party stuff outside of maybe a few MS titles (which even for PC are becoming more rare) will not come out on PC's.

Theres still a possibility that metal gear could come out.
MGS2 came out for pc so who knows... -
MGS4 isn't coming out on anything else. Optimization would take to much time and be a waste of money, for all intents and purposes MGS is a PlayStation series. It flopped on other platforms comparatively and they stand to make pretty much no money on the PC (it come out on the 360 first, which won't happen either at this point).
Also it's doubtful that even in 10 years there will be a great working emulator of the PS3 (360 maybe), and well in the time that a great working emulator of those consoles exist (if ever) who would care that much as it'd be so far down the road you might as well just by the system for probably like <$50 since that'd probably happen sooner. -
For me, I tend not to pay attention to games I don't have the hardware to play. But then again, I have both PS3/360. -

This is basically one of the only ways to look at it when it comes to PC gaming that involves console games. If it doesn't drop day and date with the console releases, or it hasn't been confirmed in development while the console games are in development, it's never going to come to the PC. For many developers if it's not initially built and intended for release on the PC, it's pretty meaningless to spend the time, money and resources to port it and optimize the game for the PC due to the amount of piracy. If they DRM games they don't sell at all and even more piracy is widespread, and if they don't they still don't sell and are pirated.
Like I stated, due to those reasons, and monetary reasons involving Sony/MS/Nintendo, no first-party releases will ever wind up on the PC and pretty much most major third-party exclusives will also not find their way to the PC either for all the same reasons. -

i know, lol that would be amazing though can you imagine playing like Zelda: Twighlight Princess for PC with redone graphics? *Drools*
