I made a thread back in 2015 when this game was in early beta and have always been interested in it since then. I am preloading as we speak. Anyone else going to buy it, or already bought the Beta?

    Day 1 patch announcement.

Been keeping an eye on it. Waiting for some feedback and video footage of the "finished product" before I pull the trigger, but if the final release indeed includes things that have been expected to be improved (faster/more fluid combat and less awkward animation), I expect I'll buy within a couple weeks. Definitely been fairly excited (read: hopeful but wary of overhype) about the game, and I doubt I'll be disappointed.

Was very hyped for this game until I read that you can't save scum in it...
    Unacceptable! :D

I too have been keeping an eye out for this game for years now. It almost feels strange now that it's finally being released. Hopefully it's as great as I've anticipated it to be.

Looks very interesting! Not sure if it will run with acceptable FPS on my HD520... Will check in a few days, I guess.

The Steam reviews are starting to roll in now. Yesterday there were none, now there are just over two thousand and rising. Here are a few good and bad ones.

If this were high fantasy I would be all over this like peanut butter on bread. But...well...I've never been able to play simulation type games that were not flight simulators. I tried that army building King Arthur game years ago and it was just tedious.

I've also been keeping my eye on this game for a long time. My backlog of games I haven't touched is just too long to justify buying yet another one right now at full AAA price. I'll keep my eye on this as patches are released, etc.. It sounds intriguing.

Looks like there' already a infinite save mod available for this game, lol.
Might grab it on GOG once it's available after all.

You weren't put off by the realism / non fantasy? I have my doubts about this needing to sleep, worrying about bandages...but I'm sure a Mod will do something to change all of that. I play games to relax, not worry about starving.

No, I actually welcome non-fantasy setting. There are so many fantasy games, whereas KCD offers something different and new.
My biggest complain was the save system, but since it got fixed by a mod I'm jumping on the bandwagon. I see how I like the other aspects of the game I have doubts about (clunky combat, eat/drink/sleep mechanic), but hopefully it will not get into the way of enjoying the story and game world.
However, even if I end up disliking the game and abandoning it, I don't think I will feel disappointment in this, because I still think devs deserve it.
