    hi there,

    Ok I used to play this game before and it ran fine, I un-installed it for some time, when i install it i try to run the game. It brings up the LOTR:BFME2 image but get stuck there, when i hit ctrl+alt+delete it says not responding:/ then i get the game.dat problem. wth?

    can anyone help me?

    I think the game has an error log.Can you post it here ?

    1 - You don't need to screenshot it.Paste the text here.
    2 - If it's an EA title.It's going to have a log-file somewhere hidden.Search for it.
    (Search for *.txt or *.log or *log* you might find something)

    wtf now i cant even get the LOTR splash screen to come up! i click it to make it play but then nothing comes up, the disk is spinning but then i can hear the disk stop spinning!! wtf

    You are supposed to find that file by searching/browsing the folder that your game is installed in [on your hard-drive]
