I've been looking to play this game forever now.
I never even heard of RAW, looks like a D3 ripoff haha, maybe it will be good.

Given the info here, I'd like to change my release date prediction to Christmas 2016!

lol nice video. I too have little faith in a soon release date. Blizzcon canceled. D3 senior producer quits. New sudden changes all of a sudden. "No its not good enough". And of course, Blizzard, "we are done when we are done. Screw deadlines".

    MEHHHHH :p

Is there an official release date? These major changes at this "late stage" in the game's development might be major, but might not be late stage. You can't really say for sure whether the game is almost done, since we don't know with certainty when it's coming out.

Given that the official response to the changes (or rather 'temporal' elimination of features) was due to speed up with the release date, leads me to think that Blizzard motto is going from "we are done when we are done" to "we are done because the (Activision) deadline is on!".

So yeah, it seems unlikely to be a release in the short term.

On the optimistic side, the "sudden changes" of core mechanics is a secondary backup plan with little left to readjust and brush-up, while the senior producer's departure is a mere coincidence. :D

Readin' all this crap about D3 going to hell (no pun intended) is getting tiring... Hopin' for the best :D

yupp, they will either get their asses kicked by publisher, or they release it.. still I am much less hyped about D3 right now, they really screwed up bad this time, I mean I don't think D3 (as of now the state of beta) should have taken 4 years of development and 6 months of beta testing... it really doesn't look like that good of a game right now, beta is definitely far away from being the best game ever :(

I've decided at this point I'm not going to think about it anymore until it it actually is about to come out - whenever that will be. Too many good games right now and coming out soon to worry with what might just be a sub-par game...

i really doubt they will let beta last for more then a year or two. Dat is just silly.

Agreed, but 12 year development cycles are pretty silly as well

I just got into the Beta a few days ago.

Am I the only one a bit annoyed with how dumbed down gameplay seems to be? I understand we are getting only a very small window into the game, but with interchangeable skills, more linear level design, and less customization(asides from with artisans) I worry we are getting a more "mass appeal" game.

That being said, I'm still tentatively very excited.

I saw a "lets play" of the beta since I have not been invited, but I actually liked the gameplay and the dynamic. Saw barbarian playing and she was brutal to the enemies. I was once a "Oh noes, D3 is going to be cartoonish", but from what I saw that was not the case. It was dark and mysterious. :)

Just got into D3 beta a few days ago, so far I'm really enjoying it. Can't wait for when it comes out. Though, I wish the beta was more stable. There is so much stuttering and lag, it's almost unplayable at times.

you are not the only one trust me... I am very sad that the game won't have any decisive moments, whatever you do, you can take it back, pure crap notion, everybody will have the same build (which will be decided later as the ultimate build possible), even dota has more specialization for goodness sake!!!

I sincerely hope they will somehow add more specialization through rune stones (we don't see them in beta), but please oh god please avoid everybody having the same wizard!!!

Sounds like what we are going to end up with is similar to the "console" D&D games where instead of the large variety of things you can do with even a standard class, you are stuck on rails to one path.

I really hope that's just beta simplifiction to test something specfic.

The game has very adult imagery and themes, I hope they don't nerf character development down to 7-yr-old levels.

I just gave up on it and am enjoying other titles. Last year I was obsessed with finding information regarding it, but now that it's gone completely off my mind, I just play other fun titles. Plus, not getting a beta invite for it didn't help lol. You'd think paying 5 years worth of a WoW account they'd toss a beta invite, but nope :p Currently having a blast in the Heroes series and Old Republic PVP.
