When i play some games, after 20 mins of solid gameplay it lags. It lags again every 5-10 mins.
It only lags on some games like, Racedriver: Grid, Alone in the Dark, Frontline: Fuel of War.
When it lags i look on task manager and i see the system idle process at 90 Cpu. usually it is only 60 or 50.
I have looked on several websites and i cant find any help.

Your graphics card will slow down to 166/100 (from stock 475/700) if the die temperature exceeds 95 degrees Centigrade. This will cause lag. Take some temperature reading while playing a game and see how far it goes up. If that is not the issue, it may be Powermizer giving you problems or just the driver. Please tell us what version of the NVIDIA display driver (1xx.xx) that you are currently using so that we may assist you further.

Could you give us a better description of what you are seeing? Does everything become "choppy"(low framerate) or is it more of a "freezing" kind of problem(slight pause then fine again)?

The windows system idle process is Microsoft's way of indicating how much time your processor isn't doing anything. Your processor isn't the problem if it is spending 90% of its time not doing anything.

When it "lags", look at your hard drive light. Is it on?(solid or blinking very fast). My guess is that the "lag" period is when the game is loading stuff in the background.

If the game becomes "choppy", then it is probably either because there is a lot more for your graphics card to process(more things on the screen, etc.) or because the processor is downclocking.

Have you tried up-dating your Graphics Card? Or up-dating your DirectX?

It's probably driver issues. That's what happened to me when I was playing CSS. Just update your graphics card. Check the sticky on this forum for the latest/stable driver for your graphics card.
