My notebook is a HP Pavilion dv2710us with 2.0Ghz Amd turion and Nvidia GeForce 7150. I used to play videogames like world of warcraft, battlefield 2, etc. Now i start having lag in every game, even low graphic games. I ran a graphic card stability test and everything is OK. One thing i noticed is that when i play games and get the lag in the performance tab of the task manager the cpu usage is around 70-90%. I also checked if there were any viruses and cleaned the fans.![]()

Do you have any mess running in the background? Sounds like a classic case of program seep (I'm sure there is a better term
) to me.
-
I removed every start up program and when i play i close every program and cancel anti virus scans

Checked for bad RAM? Could be something to do with hitting more page faults cause some of your RAM is bad.
-
I have 2gb ram how do i check if its working properly?
-
First, you can check that Windows is actually recognizing the full 2GB in Windows itself. Then you can d/l memcheck to doulbe check it.
-
In the system properties it says i have 2014 Mb RAM, how is that i check it again?
-
If it's Vista(shivers) have you set "power plan" to "high performance?" i've noticed that it helps significantly.
-
My power plan is set in balance. Should i change it to high performance?

Still doesn't work with the power set to high performance, should i check the RAM?
-
I'd try that.

I really can't see battlefield 2 running that smoothly on a 7150...

I used to play battlefield 2 with no lag in low graphics but suddenly i start having lag in every game i played before.

Lethal Lottery Notebook Betrayer
your problem is your have a terrible laptop for games newer than 2002.

Try to reinstall windows, and I recommend to install XP because it uses less ram.
