My notebook is a HP Pavilion dv2710us with 2.0Ghz Amd turion and Nvidia GeForce 7150. I used to play videogames like world of warcraft, battlefield 2, etc. Now i start having lag in every game, even low graphic games. I ran a graphic card stability test and everything is OK. One thing i noticed is that when i play games and get the lag in the performance tab of the task manager the cpu usage is around 70-90%. I also checked if there were any viruses and cleaned the fans.

Do you have any mess running in the background? Sounds like a classic case of program seep (I'm sure there is a better term :)) to me.

Checked for bad RAM? Could be something to do with hitting more page faults cause some of your RAM is bad.

First, you can check that Windows is actually recognizing the full 2GB in Windows itself. Then you can d/l memcheck to doulbe check it.

If it's Vista(shivers) have you set "power plan" to "high performance?" i've noticed that it helps significantly.

It's worth a shot, if it doesn't help you could always change it back

Try to reinstall windows, and I recommend to install XP because it uses less ram.
