Hey Sorry if this is a repost, but when I have my laptop running on battery power I notice a significant reduction in power, mainly from the GPU I think,
I have a HP envy 14 I'm sure its probably some kind of block imposed by hp is there anyway to change it in the settings? thanks

I don't know if I understood what you are exactly complaining about, but that's what it's supposed to do, to decrease performance so the laptop can hold on longer. It's mainly for web surfing on the go.

u need to set profile to high performance if u want to game on the go..the power settings are set on battery to maximise battery life hence GPU downclocks.

Post your specs friend! It will help with creating a solution

Sorry forgot the specs, but I had the computer running on a custom power plan I set up to be made for high performance and I tried it on high performance also but the GPU was still running sluggish,
