Hey everyone, i recently purchased the sexy new dv6000t and been playing some CounterStrike Source. Obviously CounterStrike is a fast paced fps resulting to fingers constantly pressing hard or banging on W A S D. Is this ok for a laptop keyboard to be banging on or should i buy those mini keyboards, if yes where do they sell mini keyboards? I know for a fact that desktop keyboards do not break after being constantly pressed hard on, actually i am much more used to it playing cs. Please help. Thanks 4 ur time! Please share your suggestions!

In my experience I've never had a problem with laptop keyboards. But I'm easy on my keyboards.

I don't think there would be a problem with constant pressing the keys as you described, but if you have a cheap laptop keyboard then you could easily wear off the paint.
-
well i suggest geyying yourself a blutooth keyboard as im sure yoll be more confortable with it but i dont think laptop keyboards or keys break ntill unless u really want to lol
-
It's fine, they test these keyboards by pounding on them with mechanical fingers for thousands of times.

I personally prefer external keyboards unless the situation calls for me to use my laptop keyboard. So I would vote for external keyboard for the feel.
But many gamers just use the laptop keyboards, and I only really hear about the letters wearing off of the WASD keys after a while. No biggie. -

on most laptops the keyboards are easily replaced, so I wouldnt worry too much

the keys on that laptop are fine for fps gaming.... ive gone to several lans wit mine and played lots of cs on it. so far no problems and i dont think i will end up getting any unless i try to pull of my keys.

yeah you're fine. i think the only problems you will encounter are your letters wearing off, and the big one for me, you get an ugly wear on the part you rest the base of your palm/wrist on to the left of your notebooks mousepad. for me, that part is a lighter color than the rest of the notebook because my palm/wrist is always on it while im using the wasd keys.

lol, on my old toshiba the wasd and c keys all fell off! but on my dell they feel pretty sturdy. i somtimes plug in a cheap external keyboard, but i dont feel that i HAVE to. the only thing i would worry about is the hard drive, it shouldn't be right under wasd, but if it was that would be pretty crumby.

Not Unless u have a bad temper and hit it when u die... it will be fine

i do that... i broke my joystick while playing bf2

I game on my Sager NP5320 quite often, and I have had it for over a year now. The keyboard has held up quite well, there are no signs of excess wear and tear from gaming. As long as you take care of the equipment you are using, it should last for a long time.

yea as long as you dont hit that or your screen your good
i really miss that about crts... punching them for fun when you die or just to release some stress after your computer crashes....

I've never had a problem with any of mine but know people who have (I've replaced alot of keyboards for people) but actually I prefer laptop keyboards for both work and play-I even have an enermax aurora for my desktop system use (just like a laptop keyboard)
Laptop keyboards too fragile 4 gaming?
