Hey everyone, i recently purchased the sexy new dv6000t and been playing some CounterStrike Source. Obviously CounterStrike is a fast paced fps resulting to fingers constantly pressing hard or banging on W A S D. Is this ok for a laptop keyboard to be banging on or should i buy those mini keyboards, if yes where do they sell mini keyboards? I know for a fact that desktop keyboards do not break after being constantly pressed hard on, actually i am much more used to it playing cs. Please help. Thanks 4 ur time! :) Please share your suggestions!

In my experience I've never had a problem with laptop keyboards. But I'm easy on my keyboards.

I don't think there would be a problem with constant pressing the keys as you described, but if you have a cheap laptop keyboard then you could easily wear off the paint.

It's fine, they test these keyboards by pounding on them with mechanical fingers for thousands of times.

I personally prefer external keyboards unless the situation calls for me to use my laptop keyboard. So I would vote for external keyboard for the feel.

But many gamers just use the laptop keyboards, and I only really hear about the letters wearing off of the WASD keys after a while. No biggie.

yeah you're fine. i think the only problems you will encounter are your letters wearing off, and the big one for me, you get an ugly wear on the part you rest the base of your palm/wrist on to the left of your notebooks mousepad. for me, that part is a lighter color than the rest of the notebook because my palm/wrist is always on it while im using the wasd keys.

lol, on my old toshiba the wasd and c keys all fell off! but on my dell they feel pretty sturdy. i somtimes plug in a cheap external keyboard, but i dont feel that i HAVE to. the only thing i would worry about is the hard drive, it shouldn't be right under wasd, but if it was that would be pretty crumby.

I game on my Sager NP5320 quite often, and I have had it for over a year now. The keyboard has held up quite well, there are no signs of excess wear and tear from gaming. As long as you take care of the equipment you are using, it should last for a long time.

Haha yeah you are right about that one. Something I loved to do: when an application failed I just loved to give it a kick. I always believed it would help!

haha one of my friends took his mother board out of his desktop and kicked it accross the room cause it started to not work then just to see how bad he screwed it up he pluged it back in to his tower and amazingly it still booted up. but nothing beats when my friend riped the keyboard out of the plug on his pc then threw it on the ground when it stoped working and he lost at quake 3. keys went every where but good old w,s,a,d were still intact

I've never had a problem with any of mine but know people who have (I've replaced alot of keyboards for people) but actually I prefer laptop keyboards for both work and play-I even have an enermax aurora for my desktop system use (just like a laptop keyboard)
