    They are basically the same for gaming. The Core Duo build leads in the cpu and memoy department, but then for looks and better build quality, I would say the Alienware is better on those fronts. But for general gaming, they would perform the same.

    I would go for the Dell but they should both easily handle Medieval II: Total War on high settings easily.

    Go with Dell. Better customer service, and nicer Intel platform.
