Heck, that's gonna be a lot more testing. I guess I should invest some money on that usb sound card, but it might be just a waste of money...
I can't play that often 20 games in a row, but I will try one day, then I will know for sure.
Thanks for the advices!
-
Sometimes you just need to make some time. When you get a problem, process of elimination is the way to go. Sometimes you get lucky and guess on the first shot. Luckily other users here pointed you to sound as being a possible factor and you found that it indeed is. Now the rest is up to you to determine fully what the cause actually is. Good luck!
If you need more advice and want to present findings, we'll be here. Worry not. -
Thanks for the encouragement and support! I appreciate that
Will update in upcoming days how it's going. -
Yeah, I wouldn't waste money on an external sound card until you can prove its the problem by gaming for a long time with the current ones disabled.

Hey guys. I came back with some info and unfortunatelly not that good for me.
Well, today I played Rainbow Six Siege with sound and got crashes like every 2nd match. Sometimes I get random shut down with buzzing sound and sometimes the sound and blue screen of death and after that a shutdown. Sometimes it just freezes with sound and it wont shut down (though when I unpluged my 2.1 speakers, the sound of buzzing wouldn't come for the laptop itself, only when I plugged the speakers back, the sound is there again).
So I went and disabled sound trough device manager, all of the three and went to play Rainbow Six Siege. Sadly, I crashed like 5 mins into the game even without the sound and got the blue screen of death.
Seriously, I have no idea what the f*** is wrong with this laptop. Sometimes it crashes, sometimes not, and now this blue screen is appearing.
What else can I try to figure the problem?
Thanks for help as always. -
If you have the ability to, make a backup of your OS and reinstall it fresh. See if you still crash in gaming. If you do, then it's probably something wrong with your laptop hardware-wise. If you don't, simply reinstall your stuff and keep going.
I think the sound was simply a by-product, or maybe a catalyst, of whatever else the issue is. A BSOD error would help. You can download and run Bluescreenview to see in more detail what the BSOD was for. -
Did you happen to capture the blue screen error code? Seeming more like some hardware fault if alternate power supply caused the problem, swapping RAM modules, and disabling audio. Unfortunately not a good sign.
-
Bluescreenview will get that for him. Have you ever heard of the program before? It's really useful when trying to figure out why a BSOD happened.
-
I did reinstal OS just before making this thread, and same problem is still present. How to see an error code? It happens for a short while, for like 4 seconds. I need to see where to look then.
Yes, I did try alternate friends AC adapter, updating realtek drivers, disabling all sound and playing without it, tried installing older nvidia drivers, tried reinstalling OS...What else could I try?
Damn, this sux. And it only happens while playing games...
I will try Bluescreenview then. -
How to use it anyway? The Bluescreenview

You download it, run it, pick a BSOD that's stored in your machine, and look at the fault module and type of BSOD it was. Then you can search the error code, and/or the fault module, etc in google. And/or come post it here and maybe someone can help you.

I had a somewhat similar problem, but in my case the problem was caused by wi-fi drivers.

Try reinstalling DirectX. -
I checked google, and it seems some guy had similar problem. Here's what he wrote:
"Alright, so I think I got it fixed. I was using another install of Windows 7, but I got the same bsod's, so I decided to just bite the bullet and spend some money on a new mobo. After a couple sessions of some stress test gaming, I've managed to evade all bsod's, even in activites that almost always guaranteed bsod's in the past.
So, if you're getting similar bsod's, due to the same errors, then it may be a hardware problem. In my case, it was my motherboard, so you should go buy one, test it out, and return it if that doesn't fix it. For me, it's fixed, so I'm keeping it."
I can't change motherboard for laptop, or so I heard it costs a lot :/ That's bad it seems. -
My google-fu shows it is nvidia related. Download the latest driver for your GPU: http://www.geforce.com/drivers
Download and extract DDU Uninstaller: http://www.wagnardmobile.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=273
Don't run it yet.
Uninstall all nvidia drivers through your windows control panel, starting with PhysX, then graphics driver. Reboot then uninstall any other nVidia software, uninstall GeForce Experience last, then reboot (it should ask you)
Run DDU Uninstaller and it will ask if you want to reboot in safe mode, say yes. Once in safe mode, use Nvidia driver uninstall and reboot option with DDU. It should reboot when done.
Once back into Windows, install new Nvidia drivers that you downloaded in first step, and install with checking the "clean install" option.
Reboot (even though it may not ask you) and see how you fare.
Oh, and make sure you backup your data and/or make a restore point before doing all this. -
I have a doubt, does it crash on watching youtube / videos and in this whole period of crashes had did you ever encounter this popup "nvlddmkm stopped working" ?
If yes then I'm 100% sure the GPU is dying, I had the miserable experience(s) with the GTX260M(s) on my Alienware M15x which caused the death of the machine.Last edited: Jun 11, 2016 -
It never crashes on anything else than Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm.
I can play Hearthstone or do anything else for hours and never did it crash. Never.Ashtrix likes this. -
Try going into nvidia control panel and force the game to use the iGPU for, say, heroes of the storm, and see if that still crashes.
It'll probably run like garbage, but that's OK. If the games stop crashing using the iGPU it's probably the 650M.

Guys. I've followed HTWingNut advice and I think after today playing for many hours PC didn't crash at all!!
Let's see how it continues.LanceAvion, Ashtrix and hfm like this. -

How did this fix the issue if you claimed to have done an OS reinstall? O_O.
-
I did reinstall them, but I don't know, maybe I did something wrong after reinstalling. I noticed that I had my geforce experience always with exclamation mark, and after I followed the WingNut's instructions, the exclamation mark dissapeared and all is working well. I hope it will stay the same.
-
Usually when the update notice is there (exclamation mark), you're not using the latest drivers.
Sent from a 128th Legion Stormtrooper 6P -
I was using latest ones, but it was still there. Some kind of bug I think.
Anyway, as long as it helped, it doesn't mattert that much. What matters that other people might try this fix method as well if they have same problem. -
**** my life. You can guess, but it's shuting down again. All well was until today. It's not the blue screen of death, just random shut downs, which I had like 4 today. Also the latest shut down came again with the buzzing sound and power went off while in Rainbow 6 Siege.
What I did today what might be the catalyst: Went to the msconfig-> startup-> unticked Nvidia Geforece Exp and Nvidia Backend. After that played Overwatch and at 4th match laptop shut down. Then followed the steps of HtWingNut advice (which helped me earlier not to get BSOD) but that lasted only some Overwatch matches. In the BlueScreenView program I don't see any error reports or crash reports, the last one was at 06.11.
I'm attaching the .csv file, maybe you will see something usefu in there, cuz it was created during the crash.

I did system restore, and it seems it helped. But anyway, it shouldnt be like this....
Still turned off again... This is driving me crazy...Last edited: Jun 19, 2016 -
Out of curiosity, have you ruled out the possibility of your CPU and/or GPU overheating with the system shutting down during gaming as a precautionary measure to avoid damage to the rest of the system?
It sounds as if gaming on these particular games might simply be stressing your CPU and GPU quite a bit to the point of where the temperatures go up to unmanageable levels and the system shuts down (of course, that doesn't explain how you managed to get the laptop running with modified drivers, indicating a potential software issue instead)... however, it wouldn't be the first time happening that a software error is stressing the CPU and GPU too much, or there's improper thermal modulation going on.
Either way, if you can, try shutting down your laptop entirely, remove the battery and press the power button for 10 seconds to get rid of any excess charge in the capacitors.
Once that is done, open up the laptop and check for signs of dust buildup (mainly in between the fan and the exhaust vents).
If you find any dust wherever (especially on the fan and between the fan and the exhaust vents), then clean it up.
You should also check whether your thermal paste needs replacing. The old one (unless you already replaced it) might have simply run its course and is no longer cooling the components as it should. To that end, if you are replacing the thermal paste, use a higher quality one such as liquid ultraStarlight5 likes this. -
All these things were already addressed in the first page of this thread and it seems a full cleaning and latest Nvidia drivers fixed the issue. -
Yes, I did all that.
I did system restore, and after that I had 2 crashes:
1) Happened during Overwatch and might be overheat, because it was hot that day and I was not using the portable cooler under laptop. But it's strange, because I've cleaned the laptop very well and the thermal paste (expensive one) was changed as well.
2) Crash happened today, and it was same error Blue screen of death. What I did was, I made a system restore again to the newest microsoft windows updates which happened on 20th (during those days I had no crashed, as yesterday played a lot and no crashed),and after restore I had no nvidia drivers, so installed them. Played like 3 games and had no crashed.
Very strange, that on some days I can play lots and experience no crashes, but the next day I wake up, randomly I get a crash out of nowhere (like todays blue screen).
Any ideas?: D
Need new stationary PC, not laptop. -
It really sounds like some intermittent hardware issue. If you've clean installed multiple times, tried disabling multiple devices, wiping and reinstalling drivers, etc, etc, and it's still happening? Smells of hardware issue. Perhaps power circuit on the edge. Perhaps component on the mobo on the edge of failing.
Issues like these are the hardest to solve when replication is elusive. The best way to try to solve is to change one thing at a time and test for an extended period in that changed state. It sounds like you've been doing that.
At this point cut your losses and get a new one. It's probably costing you more in time, frustration, and loss of enjoyment of your hobby at this point. The only thing you can't take with you to the grave is time.(you can give your possessions to others

That might be the case.
In any case, I can't buy a new desktop now, due to financial things and also gonna wait for cheaper gtx 1070 or rx 480.
I guess i'll have to make it trough with these damned laptop issues...or play less games.
Thanks for advice!
-
GTX1070 cheap? Mate only thing cheap is the RX480 but even that will be a big upgrade for you!
-
Yeah, most def. Building a 480 desktop is going to be super cheap and just fine for straight up playing games if that's your goal.

your problem is malware causing device lost error. my asus n550jk did that untill i found a way to install an uncorrupted windows 8. you unfortunatly cannot download and install windows on your computer.you will need windows 10 dvd or usb loaded with windows from an uncorrupted computer
-
Your laptop is telling you to stop playing video games all day and go outside.
jkhmscott likes this. -
lol...yes it said if you dont stop playing in binary shut down code you will be forced feel the fury of hexadecimal shutdown.
-
It might be malware, but I'm not sure if Windows 10 is better than 7 on my older laptop.
Also, when I reinstal, in the bios meniu sometimes I can see two windows 7, older one and new, and it boots new one. Is there a way to find out if the older one can be deleted or is this not a problem?
Regarding the GPU's, If I'd get gtx 1070 for 400euro, I would buy it. Now its 480euro~, but after 6 months it should be really cheaper... Dont you think so?
Of course, 480 would be good too to get Full hd. -
Maybe some has time and could build me a Desktop PC aroung 1k euro with RX480?
-
Haha you could just as easily put all the parts together yourself.

try resetting your bios/cmos settings to default
might be a configuration thing
