    Performance?

Wonder if these'll be better than 163.11 for HL2...

And when are they going to give me some drivers that doesn't change Vista to the basic theme when playing a video? X_X

Still waiting for them to get one to fix the WEI score for the 8400, too. That gaming score is wrong, given what the Intel cards score.

Just tried them in the demo on my Go 6600 128mb... Before that I was using NGO 162.18 drivers and getting 20-40fps. After using the 163.44 drivers I'm getting 20-50fps. The average fps is kinda the same but the fps in some parts went up which is good. :)

I was playing at 640x480 with everything on minimum ... I don't know what my 3dmark05 score is though... (according to notecookcheck.net mine should have 2800 3dmark05 scores.) Your X1600 is better than my 6600 so I think you should be fine...

I'm using the DNA-Force_3.6.9424x32 set on my laptop. Game runs extremely well.

Wonder how the new "optimized" set will be like. Will try when I am not overwhelmed by school..

This is my first attempt at updating the drivers (for my 8600M-GT/Inspiron 1520)

I dowloaed the 163.44 drivers, and then I replace the .INF file with the one provided, but when i try to "Update driver" from device manager, Vista just goes ahead and tells me "You already have the latest drivers"

Is there another step I need to go through? Do I need to uninstall the existing drivers first?

Thanks for any and all help.

    1. Download driver, extract, and paste over with .inf file.
    2. Uninstall old driver
    3. Restart
    4. Install new driver
    5. Restart
    6. ???
    7. Profit!

Just to let anyone using mobile SLI know, this one is working in WinXP32 for both my 7950GTX's. One of the few that work!

Edit: Well, more bad news guys. The 163.44 driver has the option to let you enable SLI, but after some testing in game, and uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it., it appears that it actually DOES NOT WORK WITH SLI. :(

Sad, I thought we had a new driver here for SLI.
