Does anybody have this game working on a laptop, i have a asus g71gx laptop which has the nvidia 260m graphics card and my game does not work. I know thiers a warning in the readme stating that laptop video card may not work .
When i start the game it logs in then a very fast black screen pops up and nothing happens still at desktop. Wondering if anybody has found a work around or certain drivers to fix this.
Im currently using the 197.16 official drivers and everything is up to date. Hope thiers a fix for this oh and all my other games work flawlessly.

Laptops are PC's too, so if it won't work on a laptop it won't work on a PC. There is no reason a laptop with the minimum/recommended specs can't play this game.
I'd start researching driver(GPU) and game optimization issues first as those are major culprits on newly released games. -
works perfectly fine on my desktop with xfire 5870's its the laptop thats having the problem and is a issue with alot of other laptop users on ubiforums threads, and yes i know what a laptop is thanks for reply though

You're looking at your problem the wrong way. It works on your desktop which is comprised of completely different hardware (ATI), and coming to the conclusion that your laptop is having an issue because it is a laptop. This sounds like an Nvidia driver issue. It is possible that it might be due to a Nvidia mobile driver issue, but there is no such thing as laptops having problems because they are laptops.

I have it running on my Asus G72GX...basically the same damn thing as the OP, just slightly better in design and all that.
Havent had any issues with it OTHER than the fact that it runs like rubbish! Were talking a Unreal 2 engine based game (heavily modified obviously) and I have to turn most if not all settings to low-medium to get like 20fps. -
its a known Laptop videocard problem, has everything to do with it being a laptop as its quite different then the desktop as this game and ubi has said it does not support laptop video cards. All im trying to do is get feedback about people who have successfully played this game with a laptop and if thier was any trick or certain driver to achieve this.
Not interested in a desktop laptop flame discussion came here for help as Ubi is not helping anybody out on this. -
What drivers are you using and did you do anything to the games ini config file like disabling the hardware detection when the game boots up.

im running it very well on the notebook in my sig, no problems what so ever...im using the official 197.16 drivers which are the same as you and we have the same card so not sure why you are having problems.........
not been rude, but are you using a legit version of the game? -
You've answered your own question then, this game is not designed or supported for play on laptops. Be more careful when you buy future games and make sure the developers support their games on the laptop platform.

works perfectly fine on my laptop, although not very well optimized

The game works well with Nvidia, but it has some issues with ATI cards. ATI released a hotfix, but not for mobility series.

my friend runs is on a mobile i7 / nvidia 240m

Runs flawless on my Laptop (Specs below in sig).

Runs on my laptop as well (X9100, 3870x2, 4GB, Win7 64-bit) only problem that I have is that every 30-45 minutes the game appears to crash and I have to do a hard shutdown o the laptop.

The game runs pretty well on my Dell Precision M4500, before and after patch 1.02
The Quadro FX1800M gets me about 20 - 40 fps @ 1280 x 720 with nice settings.
I really like this game, especially Deniable Ops ; Hunter & Infiltration. I'm using a Xbox360 for Windows (wired) gamepad btw, without problems. -
the game runs very smooth with my Acer Aspire 8930G with high setting..
