K, here's my problem. Everytime i try use any driver and modded inf from www.laptopvideo2go.com I reset my 9300 and get an error "instruction 0x00407146 something or other 0x000000008 could not be read". Sorry i couldn't catch it all, as it is only on the screen briefly. The drivers themselves seem to work alright and whenever i use drivers from DELL and Nvidia i never have any problems. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be? Thanks in advance.

Right now i'm using DELL's 77.24 with no problem whatsoever. I only get the error whenever i use ANY DRIVER AND MODDED INF from LV2G. The thing is though that i get higher framerates with the modded drivers and inf's, so I would like to use them. I use Extreme G drivers and don't get the error but for some reason they are kinda buggy with BF2 for me.

yeah, no luck. that's why i went back to 77.24. O well... i'll just use find the best driver for me at guru3d. I've never had a problem getting drivers to work there. I just hope it's not happening because of a larger problem that I can't see. I've googled the error and get nothing that matches mine, though there are others that are similar that don't sound so great. So i'll keep looking around. Other than that one error, everything else works great, so who knows?

I tried 80.40 , 77.77 , 77.76 , and 77.72. I gave up before trying 77.70. Those were made just for mobile gpu's, correct? I just went back to 77.24 and downloaded coolbits then underclocked the recommended auto setting of 367/788 down to 355/747 just to play it safe. I just wanted to break 4000 on 3dmark05 and i do with a score of 4106, so i'm happy with that.

yeah i know, i just thought i'd give em a try. I could always just uninstall them. I'm happy with what i'm at now. What are you clocked at and what temps are you getting? I'm hovering around 62c after heavy gaming.

I ordered a Vantec lapcool2 just the other day to keep the heat down. As far as CHC goes, unless Dell put it in there, I don't think i'm using it. I'm not too worried about 62c because i've had my 9300 since March and it never has been a problem before. Besides, it never gets above that no matter how long I am gaming. I only got the cooler as a "just in case" backup. I keep my 9300 plugged in all the time. You think that may be part of the heat rise. Huh...if my system is usually plugged in, could I take out the battery and run straight off the AC to reduce heat? Then just replace the battery when i want to move it?
