Hi all. I've currently got the 11-9_mobility_vista_64_dd_ccc_ocl driver on my laptop and would like to to update to the latest (for whatever difference it might make, probably nothing much but always nice to have the latest :p).

    Is this them:

    ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver

and if so, why does it say only 1.2MB for the Cat Software Suite? Should be over 90mb, right? Maybe I need to download Catalyst Software Suite 1.2MB from the first tab, and Catalyst Control Center 87MB under the second tab?

That will download the driver installer. Yes, that is always the right place to get the latest drivers for your mobile AMD.

Thanks. Do I still need to uninstall first or just install over 11.9?

check the list on the right HERE
bottom one is the 64bit but also click on the top one Automatically Detect and Install. i think this will do it all for you.
i dont use ati so not 100% sure if you have to remove and clean out all the crap in the background first.

    I'm sorted now with 11.10. :)

That automatic detect tells me to download that 1.2mb installer which I tried to install earlier but was told it's incompatible.

I've done what I did with 11.9. This is a bit convoluted so apologies. I was told on ideastorm a few weeks back when updating to 11.9, that the vanilla 11.9 driver didn't update the gpu and that an OCL driver did. The OCL driver however couldn't be found on the AMD site, but someone had linked it on ideastorm. It has differences in the file name, adding 'dd' and 'ocl' and removing the '32'.

So what I did this time was type 11-10_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe,

    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mobile/11-10_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe

and a 99mb file appeared for download which is great.

instead of using the drivers on the site:

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mobile/11-10_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_ccc.exe which is an 89mb download.. This works for my laptop. Weird eh? Something to do with Dell and OpenCL.

So when 11.11 is out, I'll paste the first link and change 11.10 to 11.11 and that should bring up the new drivers.
