Hey guys i have not been up to date with my computer and hardware in general due to work and other personal affairs. Well im back on my laptop now and i see that laptopvideo2go has updated to the 190+ drivers and i feel like im really outdated.

My current performance driver used is the 182.46 Dox Optimised drivers for my 8400M GT.

Could anyone keep me updated on the best rated / best overall performance driver that has come out since then?

I like 186.91 but I'm trying out 191.00 now. For my GPU it's hard to really tell if there is a big difference between all of the drivers I've tried. The newer ones compared to the older ones make a big difference though. Xtreme-G drivers are great but I wish that they would keep the mobile line updated. Dox drivers are okay too but only in some cases I see some major differences with less stuttering but there are some problems down the line.

I always go for the Nvidia.com WHQL releases, so 186.81 for me.

186.42 has been the best driver for me so far. Go for that one.

    186.81 here.

No major problem, but it sometimes needs a little kick in order to remember the HDTV Colour settings.

The 190.XX are desktop drivers modded to work with mobile hardware, I doubt you will ever get better performance or optimisation in those compared to official or Dox optimised mobile drivers.

Dox 185.85 is still the best.

He'll update them when a worthwhile successor comes along.

I do agree some people have better performance with Desktop Modded Mobile Drivers. However, majority did not.
The latest driver(186.81) which can download directly from Nvidia website is a lame driver which give suck performance.
186.82 is the best for me currently and majority do like it. I tested it on other laptops and it works perfectly. In addition, I got 1-3FPS extra from 186.82 compared to 186.81.
