Yes yes, I know, its pretty old and free. But I decided to give it a try. To my amazement, I actually quite enjoy the game.
If anyone else plays it, add me to ur friends, mrd33ds

I used to play it heavily during the beginning of my break, but I kind of drifted away from it now. To be honest I suck quite badly at the game
What champions do you use? I use the useless Master Yi -
My name's avengere Hit me up i always need competent teammates. -
nice, yeah, been playing morgana and cho gath
-
Ryzeki here, i'm lvl 30 since a while ago, and beta tester too.
I play with a lot of heroes lol. -
yeah, i love how this game is run by micro purchases.
You can either choose to just play the characters they give u every week, or u can by them with point u win in game or points u buy with real cash.
thats the smartest thing i ever heard of. -
For a free game I think this is very well polished and fun game.
I'm still a newbie, just went through tutorial and one game, I can see this being played quite a bit from me -
lvl 30 here
its actually a fairly fun game and quite competitive
-
If you need a pros help you can ask me, username is flamesprite.... i play every character wrong in the game yet always win
-
Won my first 2 games so far. One teammate pretty much won it, the other poor guy had two teammates go afk
So far in every game someone goes AFK... -
this is like dota?
-
Game has vibrant colors, champsions look nice. The skills aren't boring, they are creative. The game is free and runs well on low spec machines and well it's free. There is a pay item mall, but the really awesome part is that all of that can be bought with in game points that you accrue just by playing. So those with money won't have an advantage, if you play enough. -
I've been playing this with my room mate and other guys in my dorm, and it is pretty fun. The game isn't exactly balanced, but still fun.

My little brother has been playing this game since it was released and about 2 weeks ago I finally thought I would try it. Its awesome, free, like stated above runs well on any computer (but don't think its multithreaded), fairly in depth, the only real problem is people who rage and all the people with bad internet that continously d/c.
I'm only lvl 11 or 12 but my name is Peter Bazooka if anyone plays late at night during the week. -
I played it for 1 year and 2 months. I stopped playing LoL because of too many imbalances and issues. They're recycling the skills and everything. Making new champs every 2 weeks and forgetting the balancing issues etc. You really can't enjoy heroes because if you use a hero which is not viable but cool looking, it's hard to win against viable heroes with decent players or pro. But still the game can still be fun.

DotA 2 from Icefrog and Valve.
End of story. -
Combining Blizzard which takes 12 years to make a sequel to arguably the most successful RTS and competitive game in history. Combine that with a company that can't release a mini game...
End of story.
I'm sure DOTA 2 will be fun and blah blah blah, whenever it's released in 10 years... But LoL is out now, it's free and it's fun. There are imbalances for sure, but if you just play for fun, no worries. This is not about DOTA 2. -
Hm... ._. I should try this game again...

If you play League of Legends, come on NBR's Mumble server hosted by Vicious.

This is by far my favorite game for the last 6 months. I enjoy the gameplay, competition and the intensity it offers.

Just added a Leauge of Legends chat channel. -
Seeing as it's Icefrog, someone independent who's been running dota for years, and NOT blizzard, I don't think we'll have to wait too long. They have at least announced that they are making the game, and that's more than we've heard about Episode 3.
Anyways, for the time being, I've tried both LoL and HoN, I still prefer the original DotA. But LoL isn't too bad. -
Meh installing LoL made my computer freeze 3 times >.> It clearly doesn't want me to play
-
I just don't like that you can't deny and block creeps. And the graphics look childlish imo, I still prefer the original dota on WC III platform.
-
Whatever, Valve seems to be no different than Activision/EA etc. Just hire and buy out games. Team Fortress, Portal, then steal ideas for Left 4 Dead and now DOTA. Whatever, personally tired of Valve. -
Kay registered as BakaReizo in LoL >.> Still have tutorial to finish anyway

if activision or EA was gonna pick you up and BUTCHER your game and resell the same thing every year for the next 10 years... you might have an artistic conflict.
they are not the same at all. -
I've noticed there is a lot of harassing on new players from veterans in this game.
Just finished a game where a supposed level 1 who won 1 game kills 13 champs before I can get to level 9...
This happens a lot...LoL with it's ladder matches and it's matchmaking system, it's really sad this happens. -
lol
Now that's a veteran getting that many kills in such a short time
-
So before I even get to level 6 I see them quitting, disconnecting, AFKing... Of course verbal abuse also.
Despite it all I'm having fun with this game. Just hope when I level some more, this kind of bs stops. -
I doubt it'll stop those kind of guys are everywhere
Maybe you won't see it in NBR LoL games if we get some running -
This looks pretty awesome. I can't believe I'm just now hearing about this game.
I'll download and install it tonight when I get home. I've got to setup Mumble again too. -

It's a good game, but it sometimes is hard to find suitable companions in solo queue. I'm high level but I rarely play now due to work. I think around 4 games per week or so.
But man it is quite disheartening to get a team that makes rather fatal mistakes constantly, or even rude players that won't stop complaining about every detail. I would rather play with my friends, but the good ones rarely connect, and the rest are ok but usually get butchered so it isn't fun to get owned constantly. -
Found a few more irritating parts about this game.
Some skills in this game are really lame. Some card throwing Champ can teleport anywhere he wants. I've heard other gamers who quit LoL because of inbalances, I now agree with them. Another character can creates a portal and can disappear. Some Champs like Yi can take half your health in one hit. And other characters again like Yi, you can't run from, it's impossible. Other characters can spa stun and the stun lasts for 3 seconds. While other characters have stun that ONLY works when dodged a hit and the stun lasts maybe .5 a second and it's on delay, almost useless. It's really dumb... There is a bird Champ that can turn into an egg and gets full health after. So have to kill it twice if you don't kill the egg stage. I fought some Champ that after I killed, respawned immediately and then killed me. Gotta love Tryndamere that is invincible no matter how much damange taken when rage skill is active... My least favorite is Poppy. I get it that a character can have charge and you take damage. But if you hit a rock, you take double damage... Except you can't run into a rock and take damage and haven't encounter other champs doing damage on charge like that. The list goes on and on. The champs/skills that Riot game have come up with IMO are the most inbalanced of any game I've encountered so far.
Also the extra items are annoying also. Players spamming health pots, spamming flash etc etc. There is a reason in competitive Arena matches in WoW for example potions and such are on massive cooldown, have minor effect, and for many, simply not usable. Here in LoL, it's sickening how often these potions/flash are spammed and how much effect elixirs have.
I've also found this game rewards players for lagging. If your opponent is lagging, you can't target them, but they can continue to kill you and it appears they are teleporting all around the map.
And lastly this game allows opponents to chat with each other. The trash talk etc is obnoxious. Just finished a game where some brat constantly had to make a comment or some ridicule after each kill or each time got away etc. This chat feature is really obnoxious. Rarely does an opponent use /all for any reason other than to be a ****.
Suffice to say, this game has gotten tiresome and irritating. I think I need to take a long break from this game. Each time I play, even if I win with 21 games, I feel irritated afterward. -
haha come on dude, it shows you are still new to the game. You can easily counter all what you complained about. In fact if you find CC effects too bothersome, get cleanse and mercury treads to laugh. Got a fight vs Yi? Get a thornmail, or focus fire him quickly.
Twisted fate can warp anywhere, but he is also extremely squishy. If trash talking is an issue, /ignore them and report them.
Oh well, the game takes a while to learn, but you have to know every hero so you can think of ways to counter them. Also find your type of gameplay, the type of character you want. I personally go for tanks due to my style of play and it serves me well.
In the end it is all about team effort. No matter how good you are, if you are not playing as a team and using skills as a team, you are done for.
And while there are balance issues, they are nowhere near as dramatic as some make them out to be. Most people complain about damage done, when they don't even bother making any sort of armor or MR. -
I agree with the stuns on some characters being too long, but there are ways to get away from it. Health pots aren't that great as long as you attack while they are healing, but Heal (the spell) can be very annoying. And I don't see how you can spam flash, not completely sure, but doesn't it have about a 4 minute cool down? I know they increased the cool down on flash with the last patch or so.
Some characters do need to be nerfed, like fiddle sticks, but they aren't that bad as long as they aren't fed. -
Flash has a 300 second cooldown, and fiddlesticks doesnt need to be nerfed at all. The only ridiculous OP thing in the game is Tryndameres ultimate, to not be killable for a certain amount of time no matter how much damage is given to you is the most stupid ability anyone could ever think of.
