    hi!
i have left 4 dead 2 and a moderately decent connection. Ping average is 30-80 depending on the server, can go up to 120ish but is no problem. When other people host the lobbies and start the game there is never any problems i always connect and ping is ok, but when i host the lobby and start the game 100% of the time it switches to local server. i have searched about for this but only found one thread in the steam user forums, which is pretty inconclusive but mentions the fact the guy has a bad ping constantly, which i don't. i am currently waiting for the account to be activated there and thought i would post here. does anyone have any ideas?

Where are you at, and at what time do you usually try to host a lobby? Steam's matchmaking system is quite mysterious. At noon, I usually enter European (or even Australian) servers for no reason if I try to quick-game.
