just keep retrying and have you beat all four campiagns yet if not it's going to suck for you. and most of the time it's because somebody got there before you in the game

Ramyk, one of the easiest ways to trouble shoot this is to search it in google or head on over to the Steam support site. If you have the time and patience, you can always uninstall and do a fresh reinstall of L4D. On a basic level, there seems to be a networking issue, most likely with your firewall.

If it is a connection problem, talk to your provider for a fastpath. I've been using that for years and connection time and lag is reduced.

i already googled it, couldn't find a solid solution, just thought i'd pick ur brains about it :p

I've set up left4dead.exe as one of the exceptions in windows firewall. Does it have anything to do with port forwarding on my router?

Ramyk. Make sure you go to your TOOLS menu in your Steam console tab and enable the "Left 4 Dead Dedicated Server". It gives you more servers to play in. And more servers mean more choice in getting stable ones. :)

I'm in the process of setting up a NotebookReview group on there for those of us in here who wanna team up and play. :)

EDIT: Ah, forget that.... Just noticed that somebody has already created a Notebook Review group on Steam. Search for "Notebook Review (NBR)" Join it :)

Umm...sorry, but how does installing the Left 4 Dead Dedicated Server gives you more servers to play in? All it does is allow you to host a L4D server on the internet.
