That's great news! I doubt I will ever play it because I'm already playing several games but it's good news indeed.

Yep....way boring. I'm even less interested in L4D2 now, Valve once again
dropped the ball on promised content.

I hope all that time and effort is going into HL2 EP3

Also played it today with a couple of buddies of mine, gonna have to agree with the general 'meh's that it's been getting (as far as campaign anyways, haven't tried VS mode in this yet). 2 acts (not even a full 5 act). More open, yet with more cover, more branching/alternative paths. I could see it being a decent vs map like it's intended to be, but have yet to try vs on it. There was one instance where we fought 2 tanks in the 1st act, not sure if anyone else got that as well, but that's pretty rare, if it happened in the old campaigns.

The cool thing I felt when i first played it though was that sense of exploration, you take for granted that you know the old campaigns inside out, which room/corner to step into at any given time when a horde comes, etc. This campaign kind of brings you back to that refreshing sense of survival as you find the best choke point to defend and then not realize which walls the zombies can break through. And the multi-path design of the level welcome the players to explore the map to get a sense of where all the random item spawning areas are located. Having that said, the diminishing return on this sensation kicks in real quickly when you find yourself dying a few times and just want to get through it.

MEH..... Good for about the first 15mins or so then it went to hell. Very disappointed.

THEY'VE BLOCKED ALMOST ALL POSSIBLE 25 DMG POUNCE SPOT OMG

What's up with that! 3/4 roofs not accessible and even the side stairs on buildings?? Aw boring boring :(

The different paths make it fun for the first 2 or 3 times but then it's more of a plain map.. Oh well, back to blood harvest!

Oh and btw I'm getting some sound issues when everything goes very silent and then comes back after like a min and then again in a loop :/

That's what the fanmade maps are for.

Hopefully I like it better than everyone else does.

I'm pretty sure it was two acts for a reason. They wanted to make a map you can play VS online with, and it wouldn't take up so much of your time.

That's true. I did notice that each individual map seemed longer than the regular maps. Not altogether bad. I did like the Dawn of the Dead bus at the end.

You can't compare an upcoming game to a DLC.

????....I don't think you understand my comment.

I'm not comparing a game to DLC. I was simply stating that Valve is probably/should be investing most of their time into EP3.

The lack of content promised for L4D by Valve has not lived up to
expectations. Now with the subsequent release of L4D2, I think that there is going to be a significant drop in sales for the franchise.

I'm going to cut Valve some slack though, because for the most part all they do is put out quality games. I just home EP3 isn't "consolized".

Maps boring. Their are 20+ custom maps better than this release.
