I heard a lot of good things about this game but I have a few questions about the game.

First of all I have 2 laptops and was wondering how they will run on max settings. Is it pretty much CSS and TF2 engine?

    My 2 laptops are:

    Centrino2 2.53GHz
    4GB RAM
    ATI HD 3650

    Core2Duo 2GHz
    2GB RAM
    ATI X1400

Im sure my first comp can probably play on full w/out shadows and AA stuff. But what about my 2nd lappy?

Also I was trying to look for the demo so I can get a first hand experience on how it will run. I asked because I dont want to buy 2 copies and my 2nd lappy not running the game well enough to enjoy. Thanks and looking forward to this game.

you CANNOT play the demo for PC they locked it off even if you can get the demo started(you cant) there wont be any servers available

The demo shut off the day the game came out dont worry this game is awesome you will not regret buying it as soon as possible :D

Your second laptop specs is similar to my SZ360

    Core2Duo 2GHz
    2GB RAM
    Nvidia 7400Go

    I can get 30-35 fps with everything in lowest setting @ 1280 x 800.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. Is it enjoyable at those settings? thats what I mostly concerned about having enough FPS to be playable. Im not looking for over the top graphix. Just want a 2nd one so if a friend comes over or something it will be playable at decent fps. I will be forking over about $100 for 2 copies of the game =/

BTW is there a timedemo of the game so I can run just the basic engine to see what FPS Im getting? Or is it pretty much the source engine that its running from?

how does this game look running 1280x800 on a WXGA+ display? do LCDs still look horrible when not playing in the native resolution?

Personally, it would bug that crap out of me. From my experience it's a bit blurry - something you'll probably adjust too but if you're easily annoyed you won't want to.
