I picked this up on GOG for $15, DRM free and does not need STEAM registration. A single player game!
Anyway, this is an old school dungeon crawler, similar to Dungeon Master of way last century. It has a modern interface and auto map. The auto map can be turned off.
The graphics, maxed out at 1600x900, will run fine on an HD3000 and an i5 class CPU. An I7 and any of the high end GPUs, would be Dungeon Slaughter.
Im at level 5 of 13 levels. I have about 16 hours of play invested as my IQ is about that of a Vorpal Rat so, of course, YMMV. A lot of the puzzles are variations of other games published over the last 30 years so nothing really new but a few have new twists.
Game play is OK but spell casting could have been made easier. Then again, the auto map is editable and a great help for my short term memory. All play is in real time, not turn based. You can get trashed while fumbling for that spell. There is a short delay between hits until experience...and monsters improve. I do a lot of open gate, smack away, close gate and heal. Repeat which is good for low level noobs.
So far, totally stable and bug free, programming wiseMajor plus!
For $15 bucks or less, I think its worth a go.

I like it, but it would have been golden for me if it was turn based and had more many more options. I wish an old school rpg like wizardry 7 would come out.
