I'll start it off...
The AWP/AWM/Magnum Sniper Rifle (Counter Strike series)
If you hit, it's a 99% chance you're dead...

the ppsh in COD, 71 round magazine. spray and pray, plus its not so bad with a high ping.
-
Rocket launchers. Pretty much everywhere, in every incarnation. Massive damage + huge splash radius = enough said.
-
AWP isn't noobish! P90 and Auto-Snipers in CS:S are!
-
not in bf2 though. you need a direct hit
its good fun though. running around with panzerfaust and blowing people up.
-
awp is a good weapon. Hit in the legs doesn't kill. Its not a noob weapon like P90 where in source you can run forward spraying and get a 5man.

I'm not saying that any of these weapons are noob weapons. I'm just saying that many people accept them as such.

asp rifle and repeating canon in FEAR

some xm66 automatic shotgun in rainbow six vegas. It shoots off shotgun rounds as fast as some of the auto rifles!

Voss LAR and Lambert Carbine in BF 2142. Screenshots will come later after I use the restroom and play 2142 for a bit...

I remember the exploding shotgun shells in Duke Nukem. You could dominate a DM with that weapon.

I am sick of people who cannot fly taking off in the flying vehicles in ET:QW (or any other game for that matter) and either flying off and crashing it by themselves, or crashing it and taking out half the team with them. I mean, I personally don't fly that well, which is why I practice versus bots. I don't fly with a full helicopter the first time and crash into a building.
-
-
LOL Shadow haha i <3 noobs who do that
-
Another noob weapon is the Panzerfaust in Wolfenstien Enemy Territory.
-
The old M60 In BF:Vietnam. that thing was unstoppable.
-
Protoss Carriers...every noobs dream is to have a fleet of these babies under their command...only to get shredded by my kamikaze scourge!
Mammoth Tanks in the new C&C
tanks in halo... -
i would say spartan laser except that actually takes skill to use well.
if we include melee weapons, i would have to say the plasma sword and gravity hammer would fit this topic nicely (even though the grav hammer is my favorite halo weapon)
Also, rocket launchers - in any game - and spamming grenades. -

AWP in CSS
Autosniper in CSS
I have gotten the pump shotty called a noob cannon but thats actually wrong because it takes skill to use.
Voss in BF2142 because it rapes anyone using anything else. -
If you say awp is a noob weapon you haven't ever played CAL or you just really suck with AWPs and get owned.

AWP is a noob cannon.
One shot kill nearly everywhere.
Therefore it is a noob weapon. -
Good god. Would you guys calm down? I said it's for what many say is commonly accepted as noob weapons. Thats why the title says "noob" instead of noob. I honestly don't think noob weapons exist. I use them. All. They're there for a reason. I just made this thread for fun.
And the AWP is actually an AWM, since it has a green color. AWPs are black. -

No need for technicalities, I call it the AWP.
-
The only reason I call it the AWP is because no one will know what the hell I'm talking about when I say AWM. They're nearly the same gun. One's a police version that's colored black (Arctic Warfare Police). The green one is an Arctic Warfare Magnum.

How about rocks? Or sticks? They can hurt when you arent looking
-
I second the Voss in BF2142. I still think the old M60 should top this list.

I remember in... some game.... i dunno the name. Youd pick up a stick and just smack the crap out of the enemy, it hurt so much.

I hear the smoke grenades in Call of Duty 2 are pretty noobish.
big time n00b weapon. -
That Really Big Sword In That Game That Does More Damage Than Mine

The Redeemer in UT2003/4 is probably the best instant local area annihilation weapon when used badly, and best long range one when used well!
The right click fire and fly function took me a bit of getting used to and often ended up fragging myself more often than my enemies!
it is a bit slow flying though.. -
There are numerous noob moments in BF1942 that will make you want to drown kittens:
1-The idiot that kills teammate so he can have the tank or a plane
2-The idiot who take up the tank from the main base but remains there with it and shoot in the approximate direction of the ennemy base wich is all the way across the base, usually meaning that his shots will hit the ground hitting his own guys in the back.
3-People who insist on piloting planes/helicopters with full crew despite the fact they don't know how.
4-People parachuting into bases with a STG44
5-Spawncampers with tanks
Wich is why I play Forgotten Hope since these people usually die in a matter of seconds in that MOD.... -
In CS/CS:S any gun other than the ES five seven is noobish.
But seriously, I think that if it's made as part of the game, it's just part of the game.. Anyone caught *****ing about any gun on my cs:s server gets slayed, second offence, slay and mute, third, (if spoken on mic) 24hour ban..
IF you have a clan tag, your whole clan gets banned with you for your complaining.. Dontcha love my rules -
I do. I hate people who ***** about AWPs. Just because it's a one hit kill doesn't mean any noob can just pick it up and use it well. Especially how inaccurate it is noscope. I use the deagle more often than not when I have an AWP.

Machine gun in counter strike/condition zero .....even a 3 yr kid can frag if he manages to hold down the fire button ( i have made my 3 yr cousin frag few people using that gun) .....so i come here with proof
-
M249? Are you kidding me? That thing has lots of recoil. It's just luck that he killed a few people.
-
the auto shotgun back in cs 1.6, takes more time to reload then it does to empty the clip
-
It's not a PC Game but...
That's the icon...
The M37 in Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence was one of my favorite guns (and it gets you kicked easily from many servers). This gun at point blank knocked people to the ground, leaving them defenseless. If no one comes around while you wait for the guy to stand up so you can shoot him again, it's pretty much a guaranteed kill. Point blank takes away half of your health. Close range takes away a quarter, and medium range does an eighth. Close range shots makes the enemy be "stunned" for 3 or so seconds when they get hit.
It shot slowly because of the pump action... Until the "Tactical Reload" was developed. This was performed by quickly double tapping R2, equipping and unequipping the shotgun. This bypasses the pump animation, and thus, you can fire as fast as you can perform the trick. This allowed you to "stun" them from close range and slowly advance to point blank range, where you could finish them off. I always did it. -
I would have to agree with most of the weapons listed but the one that I hated the most was the lightning gun in Quake 3
-
Has anyone ever played Battlefront 2? The Bothan spy I think his name is, hes invisible, and he fires this weapon that makes a sound like a rustling crisp packet and it blurs your vision and drains your health, and you haven't a clue whats going on...ARGHHH it made me so mad
-
I would say the "wink" in the Assassin is too easy to use and extremely powerful: http://www.gameskidsplay.net/games/circle_games/assassin.htm
Wouldn't you agree? -
The Helix cannon from Descent 2... which was an upgraded version of the spreadfire cannon.
-
Remember Red Faction? What about the Rail Gun, where you could see through walls with and the weapon would shoot right through it? HAHAH ahhh the laughs I use to get with that. Also dont forget the Golden gun in James Bond. Old School Huh!!??
Let's build a list of "noob weapons" in multiplayer games!
