Lets say I get the computer in my sig, and in a year I cant really play any new games anymore, could I put in a newer better Grafix card, say a 9600M GT (if it comes out)?

Most likely not, and even if you could it would void your warranty. The only possible way to do this would be if Dell decided to release a newer card for that exact same computer, with the exact same motherboard, then you could possibly upgrade. But it's definitely not guaranteed, and I'd say it's not likely as the card they have in the 1500 is already pretty high end.

In the Vostros, no you would not be able to do that. Laptops are not very friendly when it comes to upgrades, especially graphic wise. There are some models built for it, but the Vostro series is not one of them.

Just wait until the MXM modules allow that.

The Dell laptops can be upgraded, but options are limited if they ever exist.

There have been no official or rumured release dates for the nVidia 9m series, though given that the desktop 9600GTS will probably be out H1 next year, I'd say you can expect the mobile version by late next year sometime.
