Recently Nvidia released an update for their GFX cards. I own a 9600m GT and was suppose to update it. After the update there seems to be an issuse. I started up Team Fortress 2 and started to play. I noticed something strange. Some parts of any map, any where I walked it looked like a faint like was going across the walls changing the lighting slightly. I tried rolling back to the prevoius update. But its still there so I updated again. Still there,

Here is a pic explaining my deliema

The Blue line just bolds what the faint line looks like. The green like shows where the line would be if I move foward and everything behind it woulf get slightly darker

Any help would be greatly apperciated :D

    It was driver 270.61

I didn't do a clean safe mode install. I just installed it.

    Here's my recommendation:

Remove the current driver and restart.
Use Ccleaner to clean up the registry (run the registry cleaner a couple of times to make sure you got it all).
After that install the new driver again and restart.
Try the game and report back.

There's no need to remove the drivers from Safe mode.
It's a waste of time to be honest and all of the registry files can be removed just as easily under standard Windows.

ive done a few tests over the years and safe mode does actually remove a few more broken and old links and cc cleaner in safe mode finds even more.

i still recommend 186.81 to people with older cards as that has been the best release from nvidia so far.
