Is there a list of games that are more CPU intensive compared to more GPU intensive games?

GTA4?
MS Flight sim? -
Flight simulators in general, I think.

Flight sims (this is just speculation on my part as I haven't played one in years)
Any RTS game of decent size/scope (Supreme Commander comes to mind)
Any free roam game where there may be a multitude of actors (NPCs) on screen, each individually controlled by an AI program (GTA IV, Prototype)
Hope this helps. -
Flight sims are generally the most demanding especially when they have to calculate flight, physics, weapons and Weather.
Two very demanding Flight Sims are:
1) Microsoft Flight Sim X
2) DCS: Black Shark -
Technically any RTS is more CPU bound than GPU bound, especially older ones with crappy graphics like Warcraft or Red Alert.
-
Most RTS games and flight sims require a lot of CPU horsepower. Many open-world RPG's as well, like Oblivion. The Source engine is also very CPU-heavy what with all of its physics and stuff.

Source games (TF2, L4D, L4D2)

Bad company 2

MahmoudDewy Gaming Laptops Master Race!
I can confirm that Dragon Age origins is pretty CPU hungry especially if you enable the physx effects with no physx applicable GPU
-
Total war series
-
World of Warcraft
-
I like Burger Shop, Zuma Deluxe and Mario Forever, are very funny
-
Kade Storm The Devil's Advocate
Cryostasis. CPU hungry for very fast single cores.

Phun!
Spawned a ton of water and my notebook crashed. xD -
City of ...
Although that may change with the Ultra Mode graphics in April -
GTA IV
Dragon Age
Microsoft flight simulator
IL2 series and Wings of Prey
i doubt any old flight sim like lockdown will stress CPU's that much...
and yes Battlefield Bad company 2
America's Army 2
Brother's In Arms Hell's Highway... because of PhysX... actually makes my laptop run like an oven unlike other games
and Generally all PhysX games... -
Dawn of War 2 with the Wrath of the Blood Ravens mod, I have never seen my i7 brought to it's knees before, but the sheer number of units on screen killed it.

Mount and blade with the battlesize modifier. Large battles kill performance due to large amounts of A.I and projectile physics.
