    Hey all,

No matter how many times I look else where, I am still drawn back to the
HP Dv2000T now with Intel C2D 2.0ghz. However, even though I am a hardcore Xbox 360 guy, I would still like to play my oldschool favs on the road like: Raven Shield, Tiger Woods 2005, and HL.

So my question to all is if you are using or have used the 7200 GPU, what games have you played on this GPU.

    Thanks.

I've actually never heard of the 7200 up until now...:-\ But judging by its numbers (I'm assuming it's weaker than the 7300), it's a weak card. I don't know about playing Raven Shield on full settings. Sports games will probably be ok. HL ONE will run fine, HL2 on lowered settings.

It is an extremely weak card but it will suffice for Raven Shield and Half Life 2 if you don't mind less then amazing visual quality.

Raven Shield should run ok at fairly high settings as its quite an old game and at the time, old Geforce 3 cards were the recommended solution to power the game.

Not the straight 9600, but prolly the SE and XT models. Point is the card will do just fine for what you mentioned.

It's probably worse than a 9600 as well. I have an X300, and it's not quite as fast as the 9600 I used to have. I can't see the 7200 running in the same caliber. It's close to a 9600, but almost certainly slower.

That being said, you should be able to run the games you're talking about.

That's a tough call after further research. The 9600 is 128 bit (if it's at least the 64 meg version) but it only supports shader model 2. So I'm sure there are osme instances where you can find one better than the other. I know original comparisons were done between the mobility 9600 and the FX 5600.

It's a difficult comparison between the Go7200 and the Radeon 9600. They are probably similar in performance - the MR9600 was basically equivalent to a MR X300, which was on par with a Go6200. So, I'd say the Go7200 is slightly faster. Be interesting to see real-life benchmarks though (games, not 3DMark).
