    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone plays Lord of the Rings online with either the 8600m gt(ddr3) or the 8700m gt in directx 10. I would like to know how these cards handle the game in directx 10. Any info would be great.

    thanks

Honostly I don't think lotro runs very good in DX10 at all... however the 8600gt, will run it in XP at highest settings, in Vista at about medium...

here are some shots of my Vostro with it at the highest settings in DX9

at 1440x900 on a 15" I get about 45fps on average, some slow down in Bree during the early evening but nothing severe.

Lotro is just another WoW clone. I played for about a month.

Um, Wow is nothing but a clone of every other MMO

btw... Turbine had that UI long before WoW...
