My Logitech dual action game pad works well with Assassins Creed 1, but in playing Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood it just doesn't work well. He can't run, - he can’t jump, it's just hard to do everything! Now I bought Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood maybe summer 2011, so these games should be fully patched up. Anyone have any problems using gamepads with Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood? Or did you somehow fix your settings with your game pad? Or maybe I should buy another game pad. But which one? What have you successfully used with Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood?

Today I just fired up my Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood to see if it would be worth getting the Assassins Creed Revelations game… And boy does Brotherhood still suck… Not enough checkpoint saves, and no quick save. All my progress following the guy and keeping close to him [I can’t run] and it's destroyed. So I really hate the DUMB Assassins Creed series, and will get Revelations when it hits 15 or 10 bucks. Batman is a good game with save checkpoints but there are a lot of them, so I didn’t mind it. But I usually hate any game with a save checkpoint system, - like Crysis 2 was ruined because of it.

No comments after 130 views? What do you people use to play AC2 & Brotherhood - just the keyboard? Keyboard play sucks with this complex controlled game, you really do need a game pad! And if a game pad won't work well then this game is just not worth it!

I use a XBOX USB controller. Works fine. Works fine with every game I've tried.

I have the Logitech cordless 2 rumblepad and the wired version and they both work great with all the AC games for me out the box.

Well, I bought an XBox 360 for PC Controller today and it finally worked well with AC 2 and Brotherhood. Somehow the mapping for these games with the Logitech Controller is messed up. And I noticed a lot of other games used the XBox 360 controller, so if I had to do it all over again I would have originally bought the Xbox 360 controller and not the Logitech controller.

But I kinda messed up... I didn't buy the $25 AC Revelations Steam Special because I thought it would have messed up controls like with my Logitech controller. So I'll have to wait for the next sale for it. Anyway I just started AC 2 & Brotherhood, and I'm only 10 hrs into AC 1.

Ah well you have plenty of play time available from the three games that you've started so you'll have time to wait for another sale. And glad you got the Xbox 360 controller, that's what I use for AC as well. Never had any problems with it.
