well some how in battlefield 2 there is no option to use a gamepad of any sort. only the keyboard. is there any pre-configured settings i can get online for this game? cause i am confused with the logitech profiler. have no clue how to use it. usually logitech has some games where u can download pre-configured settings but battlefield 2 isint on there. i also tried this other program JoyToKey, really messed up. the controls i put in dont work, especially the movements, like they dont work with the x/y left axis. what the hell!can anyone help?

i cant get the left x/y axis to get assigned to the W key,S key,A key,D key.
also i cant get the right x/y axis to get assigned to the mouse settings in bf2
all the other things work except for this -
Saw this earlier, I don't know if it will help, but maybe you can find something useful.

well my problem is i cant get the controls to work with the gamepad buttons. all this video shows is some guy yapping about him playing the game, now how he got all the buttons and joysticks to work

Trust me, you really do not want to use a game pad in any of the BF2 series, you will get pwn3d by mouse and keyboard users.

well what about flying the jets?
anyways ive been playing for a few hours now and i cant find any jets or any thing like that! its all old war type levels! where can i find the ones with the modern technology, like this one, a video on youtube

For regular infantry/ground vehicles, mouse/keyboard is pretty much the only way to go. Gamepad for flying vehicles (i.e. Helis and Jets) is plausible, but most people would use either joysticks or k/m.
The only ways I can think of to help you configure your keys is to make sure that your game controller is recognized by your machine and try and set it up. (Edit the controls, push your stick left on the designated position, etc.) Or try Joy2Key or something (but it seems you already have). -
well im currently playing single player right now to get used to the keys (which i dont know most of them yet) and get a hang of the game, but how come i only see very few maps? i dont think any of those were listed
also is there a way to disable the long intro movie? every time i have to wait for that 3-5min video every time i start the game, how do i turn that off? -
-
i tried that
-
wait nvm, esc button does not work for single player only, but multiplayer i get to skip it

actually yeah- a gamepad will make you more competitive in vehicles (especially flying ones where there are multiple axes involved - and especially if your gamepad has some kind of analog stick like consoles)
it can be done. i remember playing with a gamepad for the jets and helicopters, and i dont remember having any trouble with it? it just set it up automatically i think...
Logitech rumble pad + Battlefield 2? WTF controls!!!
