But when you pick up a bile demon and drop him, he's knocked down for so long he'll starve before he can get himself upright again! There's just no winning with bile demons in DK2...

Oh man the naval warfare of Empire TW is so much fun. Too bad ships don't collide, but it is so much fun blasting ships with full broadsides.

    Empire Total War!

It's turn based on the campaigns. Real time during battle. So much fun.
Rome Total War was by far the best version IMO though.

No, not quite. Think you're missing it.

It is turn based for the strategic level, meaning that each faction moves in turn. Battles are at fought real time on a tactical level. If it was real time, on the strategic level, most users would probably have trouble, as you can 20-30 cities, all manufacturing units, building new structures or having issues.

It teaches you a good lesson. Tactics always takes a backstage to logistics in war.

    Is it recommendable?

I know it sounds like an overkill, but who knows, at full WUXGA, will the 4830HD be able to handle that game?

What would you say? Empire TW or Sins?

Empire has more replayability. The campaigns are going to be longer. If you've never played a Total War series, I'd suggest you go with Empire TW. You must must play a Total War game b4 you die!!

^ That is a question of which setting do you like more, historic land sieges or interplanetary space conquests?

I haven't yet delved into Empire TW yet, but that is because I chose the space battles as I have SupCom for land battles (and I prefer battling with machines rather than armies of humans).

I am still indecisive between ETW and Sins...

if it's just between ETW and Sins then it's easy, ETW is all about single player while sins is all about multiplayer

Check out Gratuitous Space Battle. I just bought it on Steam, and it's pretty cool.

I hear you set up all your ships, then just let them go at it. So it's kinda like being a general in a war. You define all your units and position them appropriately and let them go!

IMO, Empire is better. You get naval battles.

    Full broadsides!!
