Company of Heroes = Squad-based strategy while Mass Effect = Bioware RPG with good but short storyline. It's your call but both games are worth a look.

A good non FPS game - leaving the door open a bit wide there methinks...
I'd say CoH is good if you like RTS games, dunno about RPG games as I rarely play them. Buy CoH OF (the expansion to CoH) you get the first games campaigns with it iirc. -
It's First Person but not really a shooter...
"Portal" This game will hump your mind!
RTS (Slower paced bigger battles than the usual RTS)
"Sins of a Solar Empire" Gunna be game of the year everywhere. -
The door is open. I have not played tat many games so im not sure what I like. Oblivion is a rpg and I find it boring but is seems like mass effect has better action(after going from battles in cod 4 to oblivion is very hard)
looking for sugestions

How about something completely different? The Lego Star Wars games a pretty fun. Might need a controller though.

I dont really understand your question; are you asking for a suggestion between Mass effect and Company of heroes or just game suggestions?
If its the latter i suggest GRID,a racing game, is really fun imo. You should try assasins creed as well if you haven't. -
My recommendation would have been Oblivion GOTY Edition... I'm playing it for the 4th time. I have racked up around 500+ hours on this game, between 3 systems, and 2 years. It's just an amazing game, with endless possibilities.

I recommend the witcher. great rpg, with a little different take on the fantasy setting.

I highly recommend Assassin's Creed.
Also a warning about Mass Effect: Be careful how many times you install it... It is a great game, but I found myself only going through once because there wasn't much drive to play to the end more than once.
Portal is also spectacular, and there is no blood/gore. It will definitely increase your IQ a few points if you don't use a strategy guide. -
Why don't you try Splinter Cell: Double Agent. It's fun, makes you think, have to play for the good guys and bad, and looks great too.

Also try World in Conflict for a very fast paced RTS with explosions every where,no resource gathering, no building structures, right into the action.
Gears of War, intensive game, interesting cover system, not recommended for people with high blood pressure though.
Blazing Angel 1 and 2, for a little WWII airplane fun. -
