I sort of gave up on Mass Effect half way in :(

The Witcher Enhanced has my attention tho. Looks more my style and sort of reminds me of the Legacy of Kain games (I loved the original and the first sequel)

If you are going to let DRM keep you from playing Mass Effect, you're not that bright. I swear, everybody keeps *****in about DRM only because they view it as infriging on their God given rights. As if their pathetic life is worth keeping tabs on my a game company anyway. I never had any problems with it. If you are looking to do with the game what it's intended purpose is, then the DRM won't affect you at all.

yeah, DRM is definitely not as bad as people say, you can always call customer service to reactivate your copy of game again. and i also heard they'll come up with a online activation soon if they haven't already

In other words, "Thank you, sir. May I have another?" Anything to get into that cool frat, I guess.

If Mass Effect's DRM involves the user having to call in an "reactivate" their key, I won't be playing it either. The whole notion of just a few allowed activations before it won't install anymore (seriously, I've read about some games that allow three installs before the key is invalidated) is beyond ridiculous. It's almost surreal that people continue to flock to games from publishers that treat them that way.

It's probably been posted before, but if you haven't checked out the Diablo 3 gameplay footage on the Blizzard website, you *must* do so...right now....GO!

Crap! Came up on a search and I totally forgot to check post date. I personally have never seen anything wrong with necro posting, but I understand and accept that for some reason it really bugs the crap out of some people.

    My bad.

Why in the world do you need to install the game on 3 different computers anyway at the same time? If you're playing the game on the same computer, then the install limit is not there. I've installed/uninstalled ME on my laptop at least 5 or 6 times without having to call anybody. You sound like another uninformed gamer who has decided to jump on a topic you don't know enough about.

In the end, it's your loss. The game is awesome, but hey, you go ahead and stand on principle and tell me what you have to show for it. Jeez, at least pick a worthy hill to die on.

some people actually had their dvd drive screwed up because of the drm.
i like certain kinds of drm, steam works perfectly for me. then again steam didn't install stuff that i don't know about nor did it destroy my disk drive.

They already dropped the "every 10 days activation" crap just for added info. Heck, some forums still discuss the 10-days things and some people think it's still in effect. I didn't consider getting it until they officially announced that they took it out.

To those RPG-fanatics (or those who just really liked the SW:KOTOR games) and don't have ME yet. Do yourselves a favor and get the game.
