Hey all, just wanted to start by thanking you for taking time to help me out in advance.

My Asus N82JQ-A1 came with an hdd which I cloned onto a Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid drive. For those of you unfamiliar this drive had a lot of issues and eventually caused extreme slow downs and hiccups after being used for about a year.

Long story short the Momentus XT malfunctioned as it was known to and became increasingly annoying to deal with. I feel like the Momentus XT messed with my computer's motherboard or processor somehow. I didn't have time to do a clean install but I cloned it to an HDD which I'm currently using when the glitches couldn't be stood for anymore about 3 months ago.

I now sometimes get blue screens of death at random, including when I open netflix on google chrome sometimes... Bizarre I know. Also my computer runs extremely hot and it's fan on max a majority of the time. Opening a couple windows can get it to full fan for no reason.

Originally the computer was very gaming capable running cool and smoothly. Towards the end of the Momentus XT it was running terribly. On this HDD it runs at about 75% performance as originally.

Please help me figure out whats wrong!
Any more information I can provide?
Thank you so much in advance!

Fresh Install of OS, copy over media. Sounds like a corrupted OS install/registry/drivers.

    Best to start over.

If your old HDD was messing up, why would you dare clone it back to a new drive and assume its all well?

Also time to clean your vents and make sure your fans and stuff work, these could be causes of overheating and the crash or slowdown.
