I love everything to do with LOTR, but i have never played a massively multiplayer game. I thought about trying LOTRO when i get my new Alienware m17x, but i'm not sure how games like this work...

Would it still be worth playing since its been out a long time? Will the game experience be different than if i bought it when it first came out? Thanks for the info!

Well there will probably be fewer people playing it. However it seems like most online multiplayer games have a faithful following even after the game has been out for 4-5 years.

If you want to play a very active fantasy based MMO, WoW is still the biggest kid on the block.

i would go for age of Conan looks very promising !

Don't be worried about enough people playing lotro because i think they have around 200 000+ players worldwide. Which is nothing compared to the 10+ million of wow but its enough i guess :p
