    Hello,

I have a laptop with nVidia GeForce 8400M GS on it, and I'm running Windows 7 with the 258.96 video driver.

My system is working great and I have vSync in both Desktop and Games, but when I overclock my Graphic Card and run a Game or any 3D Application, I lose vSync after reboot, and the only way I found to get it back is by reinstalling the nVidia Driver...

If someone have any idea about this problem, I will be very glad to hear it..

    Notes:
    - In nVidia control panel / 3D Application settings: I have vSync (Force ON).
    - I haven't this problem in Vista and XP.
    - I had this problem even with new/old Drivers.
    - I'm overclocking with an nVidia Utility and my overclock frequencies are working great in Vista/XP.

    Thanks in advance
And sorry for my bad english.

Use D3DOverrider. Leave it off in the NV Control Panel.

I've been trying it, I've overclocked my graphic card then I've run some games, after restarting the PC and relaunching D3DOverrider, I've noticed that the games have always vSync (because of D3DOverrider, I think), but now vSync is missing on desktop (there is a special annoying line on the top of the screen, my brother had also one on his HP-Win7-GeForce 103M).
    Do you have any ideas??

Well, I've been searching for a new driver (again) hoping that this time, the problem will be resolved and I've found the 260.99, after uninstalling my previous one I used DriverSweeper to remove every possible leftdrops, results I have vSync in both desktop and games even after overclocking then rebooting...
Thanks for trying to help me, I think my problem has been resolved, if I get any bad news I will report them...
Thanks again and sorry for my bad english.

Your English isn't half as bad as you think it is.

I'm glad you resolved your problem.
