Ok I know my laptop can run WoW with at least 60 fps. I played WoW from August until like October then stopped and ran WoW above 60 fps. So I get back into it bought the wrath of the linch king and now I have such low fps its not funny like 2-10 on the lowest. ??? What can I do to fix this?
I have stock drivers right now cause those seem to be the only thing to work with halo 2 vista. What other drivers could I try with my 9500M GS?
What can i also do to improve the performance?
Thanks!

Crank everything down on the low setting in the effects section of the video config, it'll at least let you know if the GPU is the bottleneck, although it's quite likely you'll be CPU bottlenecked since the game is ridiculously CPU hungry, even more so with all the new spell effects.
Dropping shadows to the lowest setting usually makes a world of difference alone though. -
you may want to try getting the latest drivers.

any idea what drivers are the most effective with the 9500M gs?
-
ok now i'm having a even weirder problem. I updated my drivers and get 120-160 fps but then out of no where it will drop to 30-45 fps then go back to 120-160 fps. I dont understand I checked my temps when it happened gpu was at 65 and my cpu was 55 for both cores. I tried to look if something was running without me knowing and the only thing running is WoW. Maybe some one could help lol?

Where does the FPS drop? Is it when you enter a major city, or just out in the middle of no-where? If it's because you're in a major city, that's normal for WoW.

You also have to remember, Blizzard implemented very demanding environment detail graphics into Wrath of the Lich King. So even cards like the 9800M GTX cant handle WoW on full settings. What you have to watch out for is the shadow details, that thing will strain your system to the max.

WoW is no longer the pushover GPU game it used to be. Lich King brought many machines to their knees. -
I handle default specs in wrath of the lich king on my 9400m mac and it looks great. There is really no need to go beyond default
edit: did you uninstall your drivers correctly? -
Turning off dynamic shadows is a good idea. It beats the living hell out of your frame rate. Also make sure you dont have too many things running in the backround, especially huge downloads.

where are the shadow settings? I cant find them in the settings in the game.
Also the fps drops are any where at any time it goes back and forth. Its very annoying.
I have nothing running in the back round once I see the fps drop I go to my desktop push ctrl, alt , del and start task manger the only thing that is running is wow.
Low fps in Wow??????
