I can't wait for some classic Star Wars titles to be released! I can't find all of my old disks and most places don't have them anymore or people charge ridiculous amounts for them.

Holy crap diggidy damn that's exciting! I love Steam.... and Lucasarts.. well Lucasarts a few years ago. This new Lucasarts can kiss my butt... I still haven't played Force Unleashed because I don't own a console.

I would really like to see the jedi knight games, including Dark Forces.

Those games have a lot of memories behind them. Maybe even do like some kind of XX anniversary thing and release the games with improved textures and graphics or something to try and pull new players in.

I definitely can't wait for Republic Commando. Since it's through steam that means everything's going to be vista/windows 7 compatible, correct?

Yea I'm waiting for Jedi Academy. I can find my Dark Forces disks still :D

    Same here :)

Thankfully since it's through Steam, everything should be patched up to the latest version. I have had trouble patching some of the older Star Wars games when they're installed in a directory other than the default one in Vista.

yeah hopefully steam will eliminate such issues, and also help handle the multiplayer aspects of the game (or at least abstract us from having to deal with it). getting those games up to spec and on the interwebs was a challenge of itself, and now it is basically impossible afaik, with the servers shut down.

I lost my dark forces disk, but I think last time I tried it wont run under Vista, so thats why I hope for a steam re-release.

'Tis good news! Jedi Academy, Tie/X-Wing Fighter, Republic Commando... those are what I'd be downloading. I hope we'll see the rest of them.

    FATE OF ATLANTIS = YESS!

Lucasarts adventure games are the best.

Here is to hoping steam gets grim fandango!

I bet they did this to prep more people for The Old Republic.
But I still like the idea. And now I don't have to hunt around for those oldies
