Hey guys, long time lurker, first time speaker.

I will soon be ordering the M1210 pretty much fully loaded.

2.00 GHZ Intel Merom (once it comes out)
100 gig hard drive 7200 rpm.
    Intel wireless with bluetooth.
    Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 Turbocache.
    Web camera with microphone.
    dvd+/-rw
    9 cell battery
    1 gig of ram
    media center 2005 edition

Whatever tidbits left over that make it expensive.

Okay, my question is how well will the likes of Command Conquer Generals, and Counterstrike Source/Half life 2, and Act of War and Battlefield 2 run?

I know this isn't a gaming machine, but I need something to kill the time, lightweight, and whatever to use at school and for play.

I'm not at all interested in the sony vaios, or the dell xps 17in or 20.1. I want a rig that can play some games, and I can use primarily for school.

It should run those games well - i read somewhere that the m1210 could play CS:S at full smoothly (can't remember if that was with/without AA). It should deffintiely play the rest - just maybe not on full details.

I expect generals would run well because its pretty old. Bf2 runs okay at medium for me, but driver problems and a notorious bf2 ct2 forced me to crank em down. Yours will probably do better because its memrom. Also consider 2gigs of ram for gaming.

Right now I'm sorta looking at the LG S1. I mean I'm in the premium market may as well have a lookse.

Wat bothers me is the webcamera it's such a nifty feature, but I don't see myself using it often, I do see myself gaming a lot more than using the camera, though then again, like everyone, I am a myspacer, and I have been having a craving to experiment with web cameras as I use skype right now on my desktop.

S1 though is a little heavy, making it a plain portable at 6.2 lbs. I don't know where to go to configure one, or even where to pick one up. I've had lg cellphones and generally did last me a long time except for one that I kept chewing on the antenna. The difference between 4.8 and 6.2 is quite neglible to me, 1.4 lbs really. Nothing to cry about.
