I got my M17x R3 with a 6870m back from repairs 2 weeks ago, because I bricked my BIOS.
They replaced the motherboard, and now when I overclock my computer to 775mhz core and 1100 memory like I did before repairs, after a few hours of playing some games it gives me a black screen with grey stripes.
My temps are usually around 58-60c (according to MSI Afterburner) when it happens.
I have tried lowering it to 1075. It lasted longer, but the temps were the same.
Before repairs, the temps were much higher, but the computer was working normally without any issues.

Can you open it and check if the heatsink termal pads all cover the IC's? Could be that.
Or, they might have replaced your card and this one overclocks worse.
