On games like cod2 (Which is the worst) even when I'm getting like 90fps I get these odd stuttering problems appearntly when the new textures are loading. I've always had this problem on this laptop since I got it with this game. I had similar problems with Source games till I disabled hardware sound. My desktop with a 7800gt runs this game better right now. This game looks AWESOME on my laptop but stutters and is driving me insane. All other games seem to be working fine and some even TO good. Example: I get 60fps in FEAR with EVERYTHING maxed out. That's at 1920x1200 with soft shadows and everything on. even my fps in cod2 is high becuase everything maxed out at 1920x1200 with 4aa im getting avg. 55fps and it never drops below 38fps (That was with like 5 smoke grenades and a ton of people decking it out in the smoke) I just want cod2 fixed so I acn actualy play it.

It may be something to do with the hard disk. Normally, even in games, Windows is requesting it to do something, and it normally results in a stutter in the game. It can still be the case with fast 7200 RPM drives, but the stutter will be less apprarent. Download and install the latest drivers and patches for the game, to see if that makes any difference. Hope this helps.
