Just an FYI, every weekend I do the weekend operations, and they are streamed by some online gaming buddies.

Come join us and start hoarding your credits. BioWare is preparing another FREE MP DLC! This will have new maps, weapons, classes and possible game modes.

If you don't have ME3, I've seen 3 sales past week for $10. It's all you need since every MP DLC so far has been three. I believe there have been about 5 of them so far, it's the best supported co-op MP game ever I think, in terms of free content and weekly operations :p

I see a lot of people posting on NBR claiming ME3 is a disappointing game for them. I have a hard time believing they have really given the game a chance with the co-op MP. Maybe just not their cup of tea. Personally I haven't touched the SP yet, couldn't care less about the ending myself.

its been such a long time that I dont play the game, will try this weekend, the problem before was finding good parterners, most of the time people try to get the higher scores and forget that this is a co op game.

I know we aren't debating or being contentious here. But for others who may be reading, this is what BioWare has provided for free so far.

They released one just October 9th... And the released new characters and guns nearly every two weeks after that...

Now they are about to release another new MP DLC? Remember they have also released I think 4 SP DLCs, that you have to pay for, but they don't cost much. But regardless, that takes time for them to develop too.

They also fix MP issues. The game hasn't been out yet for a year and BioWare is still working around the clock to provide us with new events, challenges, DLCs and actively responding on forums and interacting with gamers.

What has DICE or Activision or any other major company provided for their MP games? And those games are mostly JUST MP, 5 hours of corridor, linear shooting campaign is pathetic and not worth $5 IMO. DICE still can't be bothered to fix their net coding so when you empty 30 rounds into someone POINT BLANK and they die... not live and kill you with only 2 shots somehow and then in the death scene, you can see your opponent has 100% health. Awesome, and DICE wanted you to pay another $50 for less maps and weapons. Oh and no weekend objectives or challenges or events :p

So far what EA has provided for free on their MP:
    - 13 new maps
    - 15 new enemy units to fight
    - 34 new characters to play as
    - 12 new weapons to use
    - Multiple new map objectives, armor/weapon/ammo kits, bonuses and consumables
    - New difficulty: Platinum

    Also...
    - They provided new challenge system. Get challenges for objectives. Also provide new banners for you to show off. An entire new N7 HQ website to track your stats, challenges and banners etc.
    - 15 Weekend Challenges!
    - 18 Weekend Events
    - And countless balance and updates.

This is all for free and it hasn't been out for a year yet...

I am well aware. I also aware that DICE won't fix the netcoding issues with their games and charge premium for MP DLCs that are not nearly worth that. Just pointing out the difference between BioWare and DICE, even if they are both subsidiaries of EA.

Either way, you can buy ME3 for $10-20 on sale frequently. I recommend it. The weekend challenges are fun :D

When you're talking about the third game in a trilogy of RPGs, and games 1 and 2 didn't even have a multiplayer aspect, I think it's fair for people to base their opinion of game 3 based on the single-player campaign. Mass Effect is first and foremost a single-player franchise, just like Call of Duty is first and foremost a multiplayer franchise. That's totally fine if you exclusively play ME3's multiplayer, but I don't think people are being unfair when they base their opinion on the single-player campaign.

For what it's worth, I enjoyed the multiplayer for a while, but eventually got bored with it. There's only one game mode, and after your hundreth ten-round blitz against computer AI, the enemy types start to get repetitive.

I didn't say it wasn't fair, but I think if people gave it a chance, then some would change their mind.

It doesn't matter that the First and Second Mass Effect games were only single player, the MP for ME3 is the bread and butter. This is what BioWare has spent the most time continuing to flesh out and providing weekly events and challenges for. Anyone who plays ME3 MP agree with me, ME4 will be even more MP centric than ME3. I have no doubt in my mind BioWare is going to be putting more focus on MP than SP in future Mass Effect games. MP is what kept ME3 going and continuous source of income for BioWare.

Announcing the final ME3 MP DLC - Reckoning! (Seems they will be focusing now on Dragon Age 3 and Mass Effect 4 :D)

All good things must come to an end, and that includes the Commander Shepard trilogy. However, just because it is coming to an end, that doesn't mean we can't go out with a bang. Introducing the final Mass Effect 3 multiplayer DLC: Reckoning!

Prepare for the Reckoning! Newfound allies join the multiplayer war for survival in Mass Effect 3: Reckoning. The Geth Juggernaut, Cabal Vanguard, Talon Mercenary, Alliance Infiltration Unit, and more take up arms to stop the Reaper threat. Smash your enemies with the Biotic Hammer as you lay waste to the battlefield as the Krogan Warlord.

Wield 7 new weapons for multiplayer, including the Geth Spitfire Assault Rifle, Venom Shotgun, Lancer Assault Rifle, and amplify your arsenal with new equipment and weapon mods featuring the Geth Scanner and Assault Rifle Ultralight materials.

Mass Effect 3: Reckoning launches at no additional cost worldwide on February 26th on Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 (on February 27th on PlayStation 3 in Europe).

    Operation TRIBUTE (22nd - 25th February)

    Operation: TRIBUTE (Feb 22nd-24th)
Event Description: A surprise Reaper assault inflicted deeply-felt casualties on our N7 teams and interrupted supply lines to several worlds. Many units will have to rely on standard-issue sidearms and munitions. We must honor and avenge our comrades who fell – and let the Reapers know this was a mistake, not a victory.

Individual Goal: Two objectives are required:
    1) Earn 50,000 points using the M-8 Avenger.
    2) Earn 50,000 points using Inferno Grenades.

Reward: Commendation Pack and a special tribute banner

I will definitely be maxing out all grenade extra compartments and consumables for this. There will definitely be some hoarding of grenade refills :p

Finally some new Assault Rifles for the game, maybe one that can top the Harrier?
As for the new characters i want the Geth Juggernaut, looks like a Geth Prime. :)

I want the warhammer, it's going to be so much fun running around as a Krogan with a hammer :D Also Assault Rifle ultralight material + Sabre, that will be perfect for the Ghost.

Preview of the DLC. DLC releases tomorrow! Tuesday at 12PM PST, I think.

The first ever Weekend Operation with Platinum difficulty is this week. Reward, you get an extra commendation pack and BioWare also gave a gift, so you get 3 packs to get your N7 weapon.

Believe they did this because it's 1 year since ME3 released.

Post here if you did it :D I did it last night with 6 platinum runs. You must extract against each race in platinum difficulty. I used a Ghost Infiltrator with a Sabre, an Asari Adept with reave and mattock, a Geth Soldier Trooper with Crusader and a Ghost Infiltrator with collector AR.

Add me, I'm Zymphad for in game, but for whatever reason my Origin tag didn't change, so if you see Target_Tango after friending me, don't be like OMG who is that. Currently been rocking either a Ghost with Lancer or Salarian Infiltrator with Javelin.

Gah so fed up with origin... got kicked out of 4 platinum games in a row cause of the dumb program while my net hummed along at a steady 26mbs DL/10mbs UL speed with 10ms ping.

if there was a way to physically destroy that program I would.

I don't have that issue often. But considering the disaster that is SimCity, I wouldn't be surprised that garbage is causing instability for EA servers in general. It also could be that the hosts your are connecting to are terrible. Did you try hosting the games yourself? There are a lot of perks to being the host :D
