All, I have googled but I still dont know where the best place is to find actual user or in game numbers for the MMORPG's that are on sale. I picked up eve online but now they have Global Agenda and Fallen Earth on sale and I can't figure out if either is worth it and how many members actually play. I am a casual player and I dont have thousands of hours each week but something that's fun might peak my interest with a decent community.

    Best Wishes,

    StevenX

Global Agenda is well worth it. Gameplay mechanics are very similar to TF2. I would PM Pluberus for more info, I only just recently hit level 30 myself. Word of warning though this isn't an open world style MMO, more an instance based game with the main city serving as a lobby.

Also no monthly fees is always a plus. Only things available from the store are booster packs which double the amount of gear/xp/credits/tokens you get from instances.

well the way GA is structured, you won't have any problem finding matches for the most part.

they use one gigantic server to host every player on it, and they use instances for the main city, and for each game.

GA is 75% off right now i think (at least thats what i read in my email) and it's a pretty fun game. playerwise, it is no where near the numbers for other popular MMO's, but the game doesn't seem desolate whatsoever. you never have to wait longer than one minute for queuing regular PVP matches, and PVE might be populated enough to come in solo and try it. Theres also a small "open world" to explore, which will help you level up via questing. GA will not need a dedicated amount of hours to play, since much of the game is skill based rather than full on gear. sure, gear will help you, but since most games last between 5-15 minutes (outside of AVA), you can play a couple of hours a once or twice per week and you would have played more than enough to earn gear and level up within a month or two. agencies may or may not require you to be online to do AvA matches, but my friends and I casually did AvA last spring and our agency did very well.

overall the game is fun, and is slowly progressing.

i can't speak of fallen earth as i have never played it. but if it's population that you fear in global agenda, you won't have any problems.

yeah Global Agenda is 15 bucks right now. Well worth it.

But, for some reason it lags like CRAZY on my computer. I play way more demanding games yet I can't get more then 30fps even with everything toned all the way down. So I don't play it lol.

Does a website exist that shows active current members for each mmorpg?

    Thanks, StevenX

No, but some of MMOs own websites show how many people are on each server. Anything beyond that like player names/levels/classes and such I highly doubt.

BUT, I can tell you Global Agenda's player base is nothing short of being able to get into a game quick enough to even satisfy your friendly neighborhood crack addict

Those are some good games but star wars the old repubic and guildwars2 you want to watch out for in 2011.

Fallen Earth has been praised well but its not a big game with alot of players and servers, I think there is only 1 server same with Global Agenda. There kinda nitch games appealing to a few people, there not like a wow or aion.

Lord of the rings online/ Dungeons and Dragons and Everquest 2 are all free to play and are decent games. They have been out for awhile now though. There will be a good amount of mmorpgs released in 2011 so I would wait personaly to jump into an mmorpg.

Thanks so much all. I downloaded Global Agenda last night so I will give it a try when I have some time. I have tried DDO before and I liked it a bit. We (wife and I) played it for about 2 months. Tried AOC when it first released and it was a bit of a mess. Best Wishes Everyone. StevenX
