I voted for UT3...but TF2 is great fun
-
I vote ut3 but the pool miss COD MW

well, i only have crysis and ET:QW, and i think that ET:QW is one of the best multiplayer fps games out there. compared to the battlefield series, it features faster, objctive based gameplay, so you always know what to do, instead of just wandering around. teamplay is important but it's not a must.
UT3 is gonna be awsome, that's for sure, even though i havn't played it yet. ET:QW works great on mid-range pc's while UT3 will require a high-end system to play smoothly which's a must, considering it's very fast paced, so ig you've got the hardware that can handle it, i'd say UT3. -
I'd have voted Call of Duty 4 had it been an option.
ET: Quake Wars seemed like battlefield 2 with unreal tournament thrown in, which left a strange taste in my mouth, though I only played the demo, I much prefer battlefield 2, and CoD4 and Crysis.
Crysis multiplayer is nice, instant action is basically a joke and is based on the luck of the guy who spawns next to the gauss rifle, but power struggle can get pretty intense at times. As long as you have decent teamwork, and you join a match near the start of it, I find it a lot of fun, especially being able to customize your loadouts so much and capture vehicle factories, but that's why you shouldnt join games that have been in progress for a long time, cause people will be buying tanks, choppers, and weapons of mass destruction while you can only afford a shotgun or an smg.
UT3 felt like, well, UT2k4, I still find it pretty shallow and though some people like it for the chaos I think that it's pretty bad, but to each his own. If you loved UT2k4 and you want to buy it again but with new weapons/vehicles/maps/gametypes and updated graphics, then go for it. -
what are your thoughts on the crysis multiplayer?
the thing that turned me off from crysis multiplayer is the power struggle mode where u have to follow that specific sequence of events and also the fact that u have to buy your weapons... i wonder if there is any camping going on? what about performance of mp compared to sp? -
Can we add that we think TF2 & COD4 multiplayer are better?
(only played TF2 but based on what i've heard COD4 MP rocks)
-
i already own both tf2 and cod4
(otherwise they'd be in the poll) hehehehe. happy turkey day nbr

as for crysis, i only played through the single player, speaking of multiplayer i played twice but didn't like it. power struggle felt like a much more complicated version of battlefield's conquest mode but not as fun, the battles do take long time and i didn't like the idea of building factories and buying weapons. -
thanks guys

ET: QW Is definitaly the best
Wolfenstein: ET is still a widely played game even though its like 3-4 years old and looks like crap... its just the fact that you have so many mods and maps for it ... its insane!
And I believe Wolfentsein and et bklablabla.... all started the FPS... didnt it ? like with wolfestein 3D or something like that?
Crysis is amazing on line (friends house... cant wait for my lappie) just that if youd have ALL VERY HIGH and all physics and effects online with some AI options... it would be the best.. just got to wait until excellent custom maps some out and hardware gets used to Crysis standards -
looks like its ut3 by a landslide ;p
crysis seems like its geared toward sp, the mp appears too sequential and having to purchase ur gear is a bad note
qw:et would definitely be what i was thinking of getting but as somene said in a previous post who owns the game, there were only like 7-10 full servers, im really looking for a strong online community -

Personally, I'm going for UT3...
Crysis seems quite good in singleplayer (a mate has it) but I'm not so sure of the multiplayer, I haven't seen it.
Quake Wars I wasn't too keen on, despite loving Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory a few years back. I only tried the demo/beta but it stretched my patience with the learning curve.
UT3 demo seemed spot on to me but then I was a huge fan of the original. A decent bit of variety - vehicles and weapons - and good, fast paced action, which is a bit of a suprise as I've been more of a fan of slower paced tactical shooters recently.
Unfortunately, Tescos didn't have it at lunch...
MP - Crysis VS. UT3 VS. QW:ET?
