How many of you with this card are playing at this resolution? A lot of games support this resolution, but I've been finding that I can't pull a decent framerate. Anybody had any luck with games like FarCry, Halo, HL2?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Halo would be playable with some of the eye candy turned off, most notably the specular - the MR9700 only has four pixel pipelines, so it will have a tough time shading all those surfaces.

Far Cry would also be playable, although not at maximum settings.

Keep in mind that with 64MB of video memory, your future gaming potential gaming is limited, as most games today require 64MB cards. The MR9700 is previous generation as well.

Thanks Chaz. So if I wanna run native res, I need to take it easy on the shading? What are the other graphical problem areas I should make low or turn off?

    You are welcome.

With 64MB of video memory, keep the texture quality down to lower settings. Also, keep the shadows on low, they are very difficult for a graphics card to render. Dynamic lighting - that is a GPU killer, keep that off.

In Halo, turn off the specular, and you should be alright. You may have to tweak it a bit to get it to run smoothly.
