No it doesn't ... the orange trim is becoming a trend :D

The 3850 will be around the 8800 M GTS level or less, since the 3870 is pretty much the 8800M GTS(~8000 3dmarks)

The GX630 probably will have a HD 3670 (8700M GT) or a 9600M GT. They definetely look good.

    1. Do you think MSI will offer SLI for the GPU (HD3870) on the 17" GT735?
    2. What kind of AMD processors will they be offering?
    3. Will MSI have their own external graphics card for more intensive gaming like Asus or Fujitsu-Siemens?

    1. That will never happen. They might offer Crossfire :p
    2. Most likely AMD ULTRA turion (something like that)
    3. No clue?

    1. "SLI" for Ati is called "Crossfire". Crossfire may be availble in the future.
    2. Most likely going to be the newest ones.
    3. Probably not.

Great! An internal HD3870 coupled with an external graphics card will offer a lot more performance.

Any release date of these notebooks confirmed?

This notebook is NOT XGP equipped.

Currently the only notebook that has an XGP port is the European Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Sa3650, there is a thread about it here:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=295288

That being said, the GT735 is available on Newegg now for 1099.99 shipped:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152087

InsideHW did a review on it, which was favorable.

    http://www.insidehw.com/Reviews/Notebooks/MSI-GX720-and-MSI-GT735.html

Most notable to me was the fact that this notebook has an on-the-fly overclocking button, changing the CPU's stock 2.2ghz to 2.6ghz, which is substantial.

Now the question I'm facing is:

17" fully loaded notebook with internal video card and no XGP

    OR

13.3" fully loaded notebook with internal video card + XGP slot + external video card for a little bit more money, but only available in EUROPE...

I'm getting tired of waiting to purchase a laptop....

The main differences between the two are the size, weight and screen. The Fujitsu of course will be smaller and lighter than any 17" notebook but it has a 13" screen with 1280x800 resolution which may be insufficient for you.

For 17" gaming notebooks, their resolution is typically either 1680x1050 or 1920x1200 which is also nice for watching hi-definition video on it.

Yeah, they are certainly in two completely different categories size wise. But as far as features, they are pretty on par with one another.

I'm leaning towards the MSI as it's available now and the 1680x1050 screen is probably sufficient enough for me to avoid purchasing a separate 24" 1920x1200 screen which I would want if I went with the Amilo.

The only deficit I can see to the MSI is just that it doesn't have XGP. The biggest asset I think is the overclock button. I think the jump from 2.2 ghz to 2.6 ghz may make up the performance difference where the Amilo+graphics booster has about a 1000 point 3dmark06 lead on the MSI @ 2.2ghz. I requested over in the InsideHW forums for the reviewers to hit the overclock button on the GT735 and test 3dMark06 again to see how much it closes the gap between it and the Amilo @ 7k+

Oops, MSI's website lists the resolution as 1920x1200, but the review and newegg both list it as 1680x1050.

Also the review shows Backpack + Rainbow Six Vegas 2 + Mouse + headphones all included, and newegg just says "backpack"... I'll email newegg and see if I can clarify.

Edit: email sent to newegg about these two issues.
