I want to mention that I am a complete newbie to computers. I know the basic stuff, but nothing too much in detail, like most of the threads I dont really understand with all the numbers and terms. I am trying hard and im wading through the dummy guides to get a better perspective.

So far I have the MSI GT783-625 Gaming Laptop in my mind but....

Well given its extreme price 2499 it would be quite a punch in the wallet. I would upgrade its cpu one step and now it will cost me somewhat 2600+. And with the deal you get a couple freebies. I was wondering if this is worth it, after all the MSI GT783-625 Gaming Laptop has the 580m nvidia. But just before I had made my decision I saw the news with the gt70 and gt60, not sure when they will release, but what do you guys think? would it be wise to wait for the gt70 or just go ahead with the MSI GT783-625 Gaming Laptop. I want to buy a gaming laptop for the release of diablo 3, and many other games.

Is it worth it is a very ambiguous question.

Is it worth it if you have $2,600 to spend and don't consider other options? Sure
Is it worth it if you want all the freebies? Sure

I would recommend filling out this form and posting it here. You can pick up a dual GPU unit for this price with dual 6970's or even 6990's.

If you just want to game, spending $2,600 on a single GPU laptop makes no sense. Look into this laptop http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np9270-clevo-p270wm-ships-midapril-p-3595.html?wconfigure=yes but fill out the above form and you will get much better information.

Though there are drawbacks to dual GPU systems that you should also check up on.
