After playing BC2 for awhile i got to say this game is far more better than CoD MW2. More realistic knifing :p no more commando/marathon. Destruction! :D weapons unlockables during lvls(you don't have to rank up to get weapons), more weapons, and of course vehicles. Graphics overall i think is on par with MW2 but i explosion effects are much better in BFBC2 in my opinion. Sound is ABSOLUTELY amazing. Im using the GameCom 377 headset(thnx to people who recommended it for me :D) and i just have to say, sound effect is the best i have ever seen/heard in a fps. :D Only problem i have is servers overload once in awhile (Failed to connect to ea servers or Unable to log in) Im not sure if that's the actual problem but i think it is. :p And one of the best part in the mp is the squad system. Being able to join a squad/ summon next to your squadmate is something that CoD should be jealous of. :D
Overall i give the mp 9.5! (Without all the bugs, it will be 10! :D)

I just wanted to hear some of other people opinions. Which game do you think is better? MW2 or BFBC2?

At the moment I prefer BC2 as well and I think the graphics in BC2 is better and looks cooler than MW2 (although some of the maps are way too bright). But there are a few things I didn't like in BC2, such as the crappy server browser and sometimes it takes forever to level up and unlock stuff.. I played a lot as the assault class but I'm doing very well with the medic recently, I don't think I'll play as engineer or recon anytime soon coz I suck with them. :p

BC2 felt WAY off to me.

I played the Beta and gave it a good chance. Bugs aside, performance issues aside, it just didn't feel right.

Maybe it was the overly bright maps, but it just felt convoluted for some reason.

MW2 doesn't hold a candle to BC2's multiplayer. BC2 just has so much more. MW2 is just a run and gun shooter on tiny maps where everyone lone-wolf's it for the most part. The game just get's repetitive and boring after a while. BC2 just brings so much more to the table with huge maps, vehicles, teamwork and more tactical action. I can already describe two "Battlefield moments" that have occurred since I got BC2.

    1. I was defending a flag on conquest mode, I was in a building on the outskirts of a little village when an APC came rolling around. The few remaining defenders mounted a defense of the village successfully taking out the APC and some infantry. I took out the APC driver who bailed last minute. I figured the APC was gonna come back the very same way it came the first time, so I laid down some C4 on the road and hid in bushes. Yep, surely enough a couple minutes later I hear the rumble of the APC coming down the same road (Sound quality in BC2 is AMAZING), I readied myself and when the APC went over the packs, BOOM! Two or three kills and APC down. Was so awesome.

    2. I was in an enemy controlled point, when opfor two spotted me, I ran inside a house and traded shots. Being outnumbered I retreated just outside the rear door as I tossed a grenade at my feet into the building. I waited just outside the door and stabbed the first one to come out, 1 second later I see the dead body of the second guy fly out the door in epic, awesome rag-doll fashion, victim of my grenade. :D

BC2 is just so much more dynamic and fun than MW2. The maps are HUGE, the graphics are AWESOME, and the sound is INSANE!

    BC2 is the MW2 killer.

how's everyone's BC2 running? I want to get the game but I'm afraid it won't run well on my laptop. I read that some people are running it at medium 1280x800 or something with C2D and ATI 3650.

As a medic, how the heck do you bring out a medkit? How do you use paddles? I didn't seem to have anything available to me as a medic?

Edit: Nevermind, seems you have to unlock it. Kinda dumb IMHO since even a new medic should be able to heal. Doesn't make sense to me.

Otherwise, so far I've been having fun now that I have finally been able to get ON a couple decent servers, but still a lot to learn.

Yeah, the whole medic unlock thing is weird. I also find Acogs to be useless and the lag is still kind of bad enough to affect aim at long range. Its kinda weird sometimes too when if you don't aim (as in looking down the sight) even firing at point blank sometimes completely misses!

Also, I've managed to get on a 50 kill 5 death streak before haha playing as medic. I think I managed to get a score of almost 6K that round hahaha...I have no idea how the other team failed to kill me.

ahahaha... I've been getting good scores most of the time not because of my kills, but because I'm constantly healing a large group of teammates and sometimes reviving them as well... :p
I love using the 2 medkit upgrades. (faster healing rate + larger healing area FTW!! :p )

I really would like to enjoy this game, but at the moment I just can't. With a xps1530 the game is, for me anyway, unplayable. Far to laggy/choppy and I have turned down the res to x720, everything on low and dx9, crap...........cause it is, if you have the hw, a really great game.
Maybe it's time to get another laptop or desktop.

    Agreed. :)
BF:BC2 is just awesome on multiplayer.
So fun to just blow a hole in the wall and storm the enemy with your squad.

I am playing BF:BC 2 now on my lappy and I have to agree it is a great game. Have been playing the single player campaign and I like the mechanics, destructible environments and all the vehicles in the game. I think MW 2 is SP is amazing too, but I can see how multiplayer is a bit of a letdown. Check out my new BFBC2 gameplay video I posted on my youtube channel. Running the game very smooth @ 1920x1200 2xAA High settings. Link is below. Enjoy :)

have to agree with the vast majority here, BFBC2 is just a class above mw2.....its not until you play it that you see what you where missing, MP is so tactical and team based, the differences of personal tactics even with-in a specific class is amazing and added to the better graphics, sound-effects, destructible environment and dedicated servers makes for a game that deserves a 9/10....

i just cant go back to mw2.....ive tried twice (when servers where down in bc2)and give it up as a lost cause..........

IS this the first time you all play the BF series. It sure sounds like most of you haven't played another BF game speaking like you do ><

MW2 And BF is nothing alike, one inst better than the other, they are totality different games. Its like comparing counterstrike to operation flashpoint. MW2 is an ultra fast pace small map FPS (quake like, conterstrike), BF Series are tactical warfare games on bigger maps involving team play. They are just not at all comparable this thread is fail.

Anyway BF BC2 is still pale comparison to BF2 gameplay

A FPS game where hit detection is bugged is off to a very bad start for me.

Killstreak reward = more easy kills
More kills = a kill streak
    Killstreak = more easy kills.

Anyone see a flaw in this logic?
Besides. Activision is a cluster of pure evil. I wouldn't support them win my money.

I just don't have time to play multiple online tactical shooters. I already crossed off MW2 months ago, no interest. But was waiting to see BC2 and Medal of Honor would be like. I'm still on the offense as I'm not that into fighting with a gun with dudes in tanks/helicopters. Medal of Honor is the game that's holding me back.

For those complaining of maps being too bright, don't forget the brightness and contrast sliders in the settings... Tone each down a bit, and things will look a lot better.

DICE does not want to hype it much. they want to prove you can have GREAT sales by just making a game that people want and not backstab them by removing dedicated servers.

Although I am also curious about the exact number BUT the one thing for sure is there is MORE PC players than either PS3 and 360 players.

BF2 is much much better than MW2. I played MW2 for 2 months straight. 2nd prestige and just didnt feel like having to go through it all over again so I just started going for merits on each gun. In my opinion, MW2 is pure CHEESE. Constant Tubes and everybody whining to get nukes. So far BF2 has been like a breath of fresh air. It has some weaknesses. I still think the recon class is too strong. The guns need to be more difficult to aim (the damage is accurate). I like the squad approach. I also like the larger maps.
All in all... BF BC2 is thumbs up in my book. BW, StevenX

I have enjoyed BC2 a ton and I feel that it is a great game, while not without weaknesses it is still a great game. I agree that you cannot compare MW2 and BC2 directly because they are very different styles of game, and I cannot speak to the differences as I never got MW2 since when I decide I will boycott/not get something I stick by my word, but from talking to people that have played both I am definitely happy that I waited for BC2 and never purchased MW2.

Overall I love the intensity of the squad gameplay and when you get a team together that can work cohesively it's incredibly fun to roll through a defense, or hold down a M-Com point despite being attacked by what seems like the entire other team. My vote was for BC2 and I hope that there will be less problems with the EA servers and BC2 can overtake MW2.

I found the medal of honor series to have a way better single player but multi player was quite crap... especially in airborne... but u can't really compare those 2 ... BF2 is more strategy based while moh is more FPS based...

I just bought BFBC2 on sunday over Steam and will add my voice to those praising it's qualities heh. I've never really been a fan of fps games but am enjoying this one immensely with one small caveat: I can't get in to any games since late sunday, which is frustrating to say the least. Apparently there are many people experiencing issues getting in to or staying in many games....hopefully this is an issue that will be resolved soon! Single player is an option right now, just isn't much fun.

Its hard to compare the two since they are two completely different games

But of course BC2 is gonna kill MW2 in sales especally the PC version. Maybe that will make IW add dedicated servers in MW2

BC2's sales wont even reach a quarter of MW2.... MW2 set some retarded records. BC2 would have to sell a few hundred thousand copies each month for like a year to catch up.

I really liked BF2 and BF2142, BC2 just did not feel the same to me in the demo. I did not have time to really play a lot to get a good feel for it but first impressions were just not there.

Is the full game like way different than the demo in any significant way? Hows the map variety?

Do you feel its similar to BF2 or BF2142 after you get your feet wet and get used to the new stuff?

    What this guy said.

It seems most of you loving (I said most :p) this game never heard or played the series and I just find it hard to believe.

I remember when bf1942 came out when CS was the game to play, I remember the feeling of HUGE maps, being able to take any vehicules from jeeps to plane, the feeling of being on a war field fighting a real war. Back then that game was EPIC.

And bf 2, amazing game play, amazing everything.

But this bf bc2 I played during beta was not only a PC machine hog, it also didnt feel BF like, and the map was so tiny.

But maybe that was just the beta...ill give it a try to the "demo" that just came out ;) before I buy it again (canceled prepurchase)

EDIT: I am speaking multiplayer here, I would NEVER IMAGINE a BF game other than a Multiplayer game.

meh, I played a game of BF2 yesterday. Felt kind of boring.

My question on BC2 is, if everything can be destroyed, then when you join a mp game, won't everything eventually be leveled? If people keep destroying stuff and destroying stuff, won't everything be gone (that is before the map's over).

I'm not quite getting what your saying. Are you saying when you join a mp game, shouldn't the buildings be destroyed by the players that were already in the game??

    +1 BFBC2 .

MW1 was one of a few PC games I've played in the last 3 years but I have no interest in MW2 right now, it looks too similar ... maybe next year.

Anyone know the #'s of players online playing BC2 is? I'm wondering if it has a good enough player base for me to buy it..and if the #'s will be up for years to come. TF2 has been out for a while and still a good player base, just wondering if it's worth it to buy BC2.

TF2 is way more accessible, its been on sale numerous times for like $5, it gets constant updates, its more casual, and it has player created content.

Its going to be very hard to find a player base and ongoing support of the likes of TF2, but this is a totally different kind of game.

I have revisited BF2142 a few times and despite years of passing I never had a problem finding a game to join. I bet BF2 is also still going strong.

You do not need 8 million people online to play a game, you just need enough to fill a server :D

Id not be worried about that when it comes to this game, just if your like the game or not and if your system can play it well.
