I'll start first.
Level 25

I love the TAR-21 out of all the assault rifles so far and the Heartbeat Sensor combined with the Scrambler always give me some awesome ambush opportunities. Scavenger Pro means I'll never run out of ammo if I stay alive for a long time. The AT4-HS are for those annoying helis or planes, I use the sticky nade just coz it could easily deal with those shield noobs and it's fun to watch when it sticks on people. Really enjoying the cool sentry gun as well.

No kidding! I have had a lot of free time the past couple days, school has died down for the moment so I got lucky

I have the perfect pulse click for a head shot pretty much every long range kill, so thats why I use it over the others, its my go to weapon if something isnt going good.

I see lots of people are using the Scar-H at the moment... I tried the it a few times and I sucked with it. I just seem to do way better with my heartbeat sensor TAR.

I love the SCAR, don't know why, just love it.

 

I love the Scar-H since it uses a 7.62x51mm round and hits harder than the M4's 5.56x45mm.

 

Ive recently taking a liking to the WA2000 sniper rifle, combined with the thermal scope its pretty awesome. I find a lot of the maps I have trouble seeing guys, and the thermal scope eliminates that problem.

 

Interesting, I'm using the Barrett for sniping and I tried the thermal scope on it as well. It looks cool and easy to spot people but the only thing I hate is that it zooms way too close to the enemy, I prefer the normal scope or the acog scope now just coz I don't have problems spotting people most of the time and I can still have a larger view of the battlefield even when zoomed in. I even unlocked the thermal scope for my TAR as well but since it zooms way too close I'm never gonna use it. :/

 

Ya I find it useless on anything but the snipers, if anything its an upgrade over the normal scope, IMO.

 

Shotgun works great on levels like terminal. fyi if your looking for larger deathmatch rounds, play ground wars.

I've been trying out the P90 and is it just me or is it horribly weak in MW2? >.> It takes so many bullets to kill just 1 enemy and I already have stopping power and steady aim with it. I've also found that if the enemy uses a M4 against my P90 (both of us with stopping power + steady aim) that 8 out of 10 times the enemy will kill me first before my P90 could bring him down at close-medium range. Really disappointed with the P90 now...

On the other hand I'm still doing really well with my TAR-21's ambushes.

 

Honestly I feel the smgs were basically phased out in this game, why even bother when you can have an assault rifle or LMG which is great at range, and then have a machine pistol or shotgun as a secondary weapon. I honestly use dual pistols as my secondary, and I feel that it could be used as a primary class, its that powerful, 9 times out of 10 im killing smgs with them.

I do feel the P90 was nerfed a bit, but you have to be very close for it to be effective. Try using it in a stealth class, that worked well for me.

 

Agreed, lately I've been trying out all of the SMGs and I realize I do a lot better with the assault rifles or snipers. Was a bit disappointed coz the SMGs worked so well in CoD4 and now they're so weak and are so hard to use. I wasn't too good at using LMGs though, for some reason I kept getting killed by the assault rifles whenever I use the LMGs. Haven't been using any pistols for a while, I guess I'll check them out now. Which of the pistols do you think is the easiest to use? (level 30 at the moment)

About SMG's - try out Mini-UZI, in MW1 it sucked, now it's VERY good! add double tap to that and fast reload...

 

Glad to hear the mini-uzi is very good, although I've still got a long way to go before I could unlock it. (I'm only level 36 )

 

I dislike Steady Aim, it makes it too easy to get kills. I can go in with any auto and Steady Aim and get MVP. I haven't tried any other weapon besides the M4 yet though. I usually just pick up someone else's weapon when I run out of ammo. Though I will not leave my precious AT4-HS. I love shooting down everything in the sky.

My main setup:
M4 with whatever, doesn't matter.
AT4-HS
Never use this stuff, grenades, etc.
Stun Grenades
Marathon Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Commando Pro for when I want to jump off tall buildings.

 

=/ I agree with narsnail, lmg or assault rifle are the best it seems. Course I've had a lot of luck with the uzi lately, can't wait to try it with akimbo.

 

I have actually used the mini uzi a lot, its a lot better than COD4, the smgs are usable, you just need to know where your going or your screwed.

Glad to have the M21 back though, got it earlier today and it is a lot better than most of the snipers IMO, seems the same as COD4, just a tad more powerful though.

 

Akimbo G18's = Meat shredder.

 

LOL its not even fair, the akimbo machine pistols could be used as a primary class TBH.

 

That's what I was doing all afternoon while playing with you! Screw my MP5K primary, I'll just use my Akimbo G18's!

 

haha I was doing the same, the SMGs are perfectly useless next to the sh!tstorm of bullets those things shoot.

 

Seeing those weaps make me wanna cry

Infinity ward is doing a great job by diverting to offer a variety of weapons , which is something i really Liked in Rainbow six Vegas 2 over COD4, but now.. this is PERFECT

 

I have two particular favorite combos right now.

First one:

• Primary - Riot Shield
• Secondary - AT4 guided missile
• Equipment - Throwing Knife
• Special Grenade - Smoke x1
• Perk 1 - Marathon
• Perk 2 - Lightweight
• Perk 3 - Commando Pro
• Death streak - Painkiller

This is just so much fun to play. With the Riot Shield, I can tank bullets and grenades all day, and with the two running perks, I can chase anyone down and bash them to death pretty quick. And the throwing knife is just awesome for catching people off-guard. Commando Pro is also useful because it extends my melee/bashing range and makes me immune to fall damage. Since I do all of my damage against other players with the shield itself, I keep the AT4 to take down enemy helicopters, Pave Lows, UAVs, hovering Harriers, and the like. When I unlock the Stinger missile, I'll use that instead.

My other favorite class:

• Primary - Intervention (Thermal scope + Suppressor)
• Secondary - Glock 18 (Red dot)
• Equipment - Semtex
• Special Grenade - Stun x2
• Perk 1 - Bling
• Perk 2 - Stopping Power
• Perk 3 - Commando Pro
• Death streak - Painkiller

My ultimate sniping class. I can see everyone with the thermal sight, and the suppressor keeps everyone from seeing me. I use Stopping Power to help negate the damage falloff from the suppressor. The G18 makes a pretty good close-range lifesaver in emergencies. And Commando Pro lets me escape from my high vantage points with reckless disregard for gravity. I can't wait to unlock the other sniper rifles. I've gotten the same combination of attachments with the Barrett .50 Cal, but I don't like it as much.

 

^ The M21 EBR is by far the best sniper, I would say the WA2000 is a very close second. Thermal scope is a must for sure.

Killstreak Rewards: Care Package, Predator and Chopper Gunner

This class racks up a huge amount of kills for me, got a 23-0 in Afghan once, thanks to the Chopper Gunner (y).

If I don't feel like sniping, or its a small-ish map:

Primary: MG4 (GRIP and HS) or FAMAS (FMJ and HS)
Secondary: Thumper x2
Equipment: Semtex
Special 'nade: Smoke x1
Perk 1: Bling Pro
Perk 2: Cold-Blooded Pro
Perk 3: Steady Aim Pro
Death Streak: Martyrdom

 

Heres my new setup, still working on marathon and lightweight pro

 

What does Lightweight Pro do? I reckon you should swap out steady aim with commando, especially cause commando pro allows you to jump without any fear of damage, which fits into your run and gun style of class.

 

I really like my Steyr AUG w/ Silencer. It gives me a ton of ammo in one clip and has very manageable recoil. Still love my Akimbo G18's though.

Lightweight Pro gives you quicker aiming after sprinting.

I think Steady Aim fits his class just fine, it's really good for spray & pray.

 

commando would be nice so I could drop down on top of people from heights, but I think my setup right now is pretty optimal.

 

Hah, didn't know you could akimbo SMGs. I might consider using them now, just for the awesomeness of dual wielding.

 

Dual G18's > Any Dual SMG's.

 

well just for laughs I unlocked akimbo shotguns and it turns out its crazy how many kills you can rack up with them.

 

NO kidding! I just unlocked the model 1867, and those on akimbo is a guaranteed kill every time.

 

Wow, so akimbo doubles power? That's pretty OP.I saw a vid of the G18, that's pretty cool.

 

Huh...Akimbo at first blush looks like it just encourages people just running around and spraying bullets everywhere...From my limited play experience against it, it's kinda annoying to be up against a guy with Akimbo P90s when you're using a Famas or Scar...
