or this

If either methods don't work, type 4650 1GB into the search engine and keep going till you see it.
Important note:
THIS IS PRE-ORDER
Scheduled ship date is Jan 20-25. -
I wouldn't buy it if its not in my language.
-
he has 10 in stock but has not sold any yet. people have asked various compat. questions and he says yes to all but seems to know his stuff. he has 15 other different items for sale. doesnt say about sending abroad though. i want, i want...
-
What notebooks will this work in and what sort of performance would this be compared to the GTX260M / GTX280M?
-
-
That or
10% weaker than a 9800GS. -
$5600? Ah!
-
-
Holy crap.
Looks like I may have jumped the gun on the 4650 upgrade, although I'm holding out to see if this is legit...
MXM 2.1 II eh? ...I wonder which manufacturer these originated from. -
-
The barrier language is pretty daunting. How exactly does the website work? I didn't see anything about the payment methods. Google translate is garbage.
-
As far as I can tell, payment methods involve something about ATMs.
Edit: After some asking around, payment can also be done via the Taiwanese post office and bank transfers, not that that helps. lol -
Seriously if its not your native language don't order from there.
Save yourself the headache. -
.
-
Lol getting around the japanese language barrier is a bit harder than spanish. Not to mention its pretty easy to call mexico.
-
-
Why go through that headache?
No guarantees its compatible, no guarantees it works, and if it fails no guarantees about getting refunded.
Say what are the refund policies?
yea it sounds like a sweet deal... Is this retailer legit? what are the reviews?
none of that can be easily accessed if you don't speak the language. -
Whose the manufacturer of that card? I thought MSI was the only one who made those and the MSI card is green.
-
Looks like the card is sold from a website that allows suppliers to privately sell products like an on line bazaar.
From the parent website you can order a "Ford Telescopic Shock", "online fortunes" to sesame noodles. (according to google)
It looks like a Taiwanese Ebay of some sorts.
I don't think Id order from there, unless I needed a "Ford Telescopic Shock" or my fortune told. -

You can definitely get this card in the UK. 9600m GT not bad at £149.99, might work, check ebay periodically maybe the seller of the 4670 will eventually post his cards on ebay, just select world wide for location preference.
Or perhaps find a friend you trust to translate the page, the web translators seem to be ineffective. -
Also, I ordered my 4650 MXM module from germany...I speak no german...it went well, you cant avoid taking risks when modding your notebook. -
any chance to save this thread? i too was interested in the title but not the slanging match.
it does sound very risky though. anyone confirm if these cards actually exist. i bought my card (in sig) as a 9600 GT off ebay. maybe the card is not what it says. will get my wife to translate a bit more later (she and the site are chinese) -

Those are like less than $160 USD + shipping.
BTW
Im selling one over these forums for $100 USD. -

anyone asked him to get his staff to ebay?
then it would be safer with paypal and shipping -
I just typed in the code on the memory of that card from the asian site into google and got this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Qimonda-GDDR3-V...temQQimsxZ20091208?IMSfp=TL091208192008r20295
If we can trust that seller than it really is a version with DDR3 memory. I didnt even know that you can buy DDR3 VRAM just like that on ebay... one could just upgrade a HD 4650 DDR2 with that memory, although the chance to mess up the card is pretty high I think. Could be how they did it though... since so far only MSI laptops have the HD 4670 MXM 2.1 II and those cards are green, like EchoShade said. -

Oldest feedback is from 2007 April, most recent was from 2009 November.
My guess is that the seller is attempting to be honest, but may not be entirely informed. -

good luck to change DDR2 memory as soldering step is a FBGA process really hard to do by hand
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball_grid_array -
Dudes, my argument was mainly that the memory you can see on the card in the picture of that side is in fact DDR3 memory. If one assumes that the picture of that card is in fact a picture of the same kind of card he is selling and not just a factory picture, then it really is a HD4650/70 version with DDR3, which would be great news.
-
damn the obscurity of mxm cards!!!! we need someone in a taiwanese factory to walk out with a bagfull and sling them on ebay.... :S
-
well they updated their page...looks like it's DDR2
-
booh!! 4670 DDR2 is so crap... EPIC FAIL
P.S : I love that catchphrase!
MXM 2.1 II : ATI 4670 1GB DDR3 card found!
